MrBreakdownBoy Couldnt agree more Every run and break always had one or more green jerseys in support, such dynamic movements and receiving the pass at a full speed run made all the difference. We are so flat and one dimensional lately
It's a highlights real. If you took highlights from the last couple of years only it would look equally good. human nature to think the old days were better :)
Couple of reasons for that, interestingly, the square image of the time stretched to the current wide screen also creates an optical illusion of horizontal distance being travelled more rapidly.
The Jean De Villiers try still gets me excited, it's the perfect summary of everything good in Springbokke rugby: the quick accurate passing of a 9, the sheer abuse of pace from Habana making Goerge North clutch at straws, the brute power and offload from Bismark and the wonderful hands of Jean De Villiers. It is the perfect try. That being said the Fourie 2015 rwc try was unbelievable not just in skill but importance
Couple of great games, went to quite a few of those. 2015 still hurts to this day, gutted. That 2013 game Habana and Fouire were unbelievable, two absolute legends.
Mathew Cummings Maybe he is colour blind and as a result not able to distinguish the colours of the jerseys. I'm telling myself, that guy can't be a bok supporter, or if he is, can't he see the that the green team is playing super flashy rugby???
The boks in the 90's played with so much momentum. Every backline movement was a pace.

Another thing that stands out is the confidence.

Those pace offloads were incredible and precise 😮
I love it when the commentators get so excited ! Some of the words they say bring so much excitement to the game !!!
RIP Chester ❤️
The one player who I have always loved and admired, is Joost ! Hey man, he was a good player, and a good man ! R.I.P.
J9 years ago today .... rest well
Rossouw the number 11 seems to have been a great ball player with those offloads, steps and tries
Slaptjips. He was slippery and a good player.
1994 to 1999 was beatifull rugby i just love the rugby that time
RIP Joost
Probably the best scrummie ever
We would remove the word "probably" from your comment ;-) The best ever in our humble opinion. Thanks for watching!
Real Rugby
I definitely agree too.
Absolute Legend
Thanks for the uploads and keeping my bokke flame stoked all the way in Canada.
Cheers! 🍻
It seems to be the general consensus on the www that he was the best ever.
Fourie du Preez not too shabby either - pure rugby brain. Joost the more natural player.
The best scrumie to have ever played the game
Being a Welsh fan in the 90's was painful to say the least lol...
And still
We as SA felt that as late as 2016 and 2017 ...... in stepped #Rassie
This is my favourite video of all time 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

18:00 one of my all time favorite tries.
WOW!!! We use to have some skill
The joost best scrum half I've ever seen play
19:55 the roar of the crowd is amazing!
I've never yelled so hard after he scored that try...
Joost rip soldier we miss you
Dit is lekker.
I miss the way we used to play
Try to see, how often the guy scoring the try in the end, is at the bottom of the ruck at the start of that video.
that's why SA is always the best
12:45 they did the same move against Argentina in the 2007 RWC Semi Final. Unfortunately the last pass went forward against the Argies
I love being a Bok
What a team man...dey got serious skills, pace and power but could dey catch a 🐀?
Batcat asking the real questions
Fuck it boys, they could score!
Offload at 4:45 👌🏾#sick
At 1:35 it doesn't look like Andre Joubert even tapped that ball.

Fuck why can't our boys now play like this 🤔
4:46 AB inspired pass there... such grace
All Blacks inspired? Are they the pioneers of that type of play?
4:46 My God the pass....
The guy who disliked this video, maybe he is colour blind
Drikus Diamond that don’t make sense? 😂
Mathew Cummings
