glad you like it!! The water flows down the rocks and across the sticks in the bottom left! underneath the little ledge and along the lava rock. Hope that helps!! I have it so the water spreads out over most of that side but the flow is not as strong. This helps water all the different plants that grow along there!
This is so beautiful! I love the tiny caves I want to create some of my own like this too! I’m curious, what is the black foam cardboard sheet you’re using is called?
Thanks! I culture them myself. I got the originals from a petco. Most petco or pet smart sell them. to culture them I make instant mashed potatoes and mix with a little bit of apple cider vinegar in the bottom of a deli cup. Then I add crumpled paper towels for them to live and walk on. Each culture lasts usually up to a month and I make a new one every 2 weeks.
How is it doing almost a year later?! I’d love to do this with my 12x12x18, but I’ve heard that the small size can make it very hard to maintain with the water feature over time?
Hi! It’s doing great! Posted an update video a few months ago. Still works well. The ceramic disks on the mistmakers do have a limited number of hours they can be used for so the mist maker won’t keep working for ever. On more recent tanks I’ve made it more accessible for repairs. On this tank I can’t replace it very easily with my frog hopping around, so whenever it stops working i’ll have to catch him while I swap that out.
Thanks for your question! You can use any aquarium pump! I used one I got on amazon for $8.00 USD. Read the sizes carefully and don’t pick one that is too big for your particular setup! I usually get the smallest kind I can find because I use it more for aesthetics than circulation.
I hooked my fogger up to a smart plug which was on a timer but also connected to alexa so I could turn it on while staring at the tank! I got my fogger on amazon for about $10-12. Just google mist-maker and one should come up. It gets hot so make sure it’s in an area your animals can’t reach. Good luck!
I have only been keeping frogs 3-4 years so I’m by no mean an expert but have read in a few places that a fogger is bad for most dart frogs upper respiratory systems. Not sure the truth in that. I know auratus are one of the few species it’s recommended to have a water feature with so they maybe fine with a fogger.
@William Hoganson dope! Planning my build out now. Curious as to how u did the waterfall and mist cup to run off one pump. Look forward to the update. U home now by any chance? 😂
@@brunobarz5443 I had the water pump go to a plastic cup. I recommend a Tupperware or something like that tho bc the curve became annoying to cut. Anyway as the pump flows it fills the cup until the cup overflows. I put the mist maker in the cup. The mist maker has to be submerged so i cut the out flow holes in the cup right above the height of the mist maker. That way the cup fills with water until the mistmaker is covered. Mist starts flowing, and the waterfall starts. takes a couple min after i plug it in to start but I leave the waterfall running 24/7 so not an issue. Hope that helps!
A spray on foam background can't be removed. Do you not need to clean it for mold or anything like that, or is there a special cleaning spray you use for that type of background?
it’s fully bioactive so i never need to clean it. If you want it to be removable, you can make the background on cardboard sheets and glue it to the glass
thanks for telling me! how can you tell? I feed him about 50 fruit flies a day and there’s usually leftover the next day. I also add springtails twice a week. Should I be supplementing or adding more? Thanks
@@william4995-e8d he does seem a little skinny, it could be him not actually eating the frutflies you throw in there. Happened to me, they keep running away through the vents in this exo terra, the holes in the vent are a too big.

That frog is skinny! That tank is too small for that species. The floor should be leaf litter. Auratus do not typically deposit eggs in broms, that is other species.
we love froggo 🥺🥺🥺
❤
froggo loves you!
Thats amazing! Im branching from aquariums right now and am thinking about doing a dart tank, this gave me a lot of inspiration and ideas!
Thank you!! I started with aquariums as well!!
You have a nice pleasant voice. It is pleasant watch your videos
Thank you so much!! I’m still getting used to talking to the camera so that is very nice to hear!
Such a cool build, and what a happy little guy!! ❤
The Happy little Guy needs food!!!!
Hi! I changed his diet around and he eats much more now! He’s even gotten pretty chunky!! Everyone’s been very helpful
tank looks so gooooood
You make some of the neatest looking terrariums I've seen! What's the brand of expanding foam you use for the background?
I use pond and stone aquarium expanding foam! It’s for aquariums so it’s made to be safe for a variety of animals
Your tank is amazing! I'm planning on doing something similar and was wondering what moss you used?
I love the waterfall feature! What are the dimensions of the enclosure?
12x12x18 exo terra. A little over 10 gal i believe
Nice build! How often do you have to refill the water? I would imagine a lot of it dissipates, due to the fogger...?
Every week or so I top it off
What mister and fan did you use?
Beautiful but I don't recall seeing the waterfall in action and I played it about three times.

Black foam sheet on amazon! When I get home I’ll double check the packaging and get the brand for you
Yo estoy buscando, pero todas tienen unas cubiertas de papel que supongo se estropearan con el agua
Where do you purchase your fruit flies ? Great video

Губка грязи наберёт гнить будет?
Is this a self sufficient set up etc or do you need to clean this out?
no cleaning required!

Exactly what pump/waterfall pieces would one need to buy for this?

A water feature is a very bad idea in that tiny tank.
This terrarium is too small..
