I just LOVE frogs. All of it damn it. Your videos are so BEAUTIFUL. 🥰 You inspire me so much and now I just have to do this kind of setting for my eight african dwarf frogs. Even though they stay under water, something like this would make the whole scene even more interesting and far more realistic.
It's wonderful that they have inspired you to create a captivating setup for your eight African dwarf frogs. Adding a realistic and interesting environment can greatly enhance their well-being and provide a visually appealing setting for you to enjoy. I hope your aquarium project turns out to be as beautiful and engaging as you envision!
I can't help but whenever i think of a scaper who uses rocks will have a stack pile of rocks to store while choosing only the pieces they need each time they scape and for you. Just a bottle or two of foam to do the same thing. Hahaha. Still your work is inspiring and your gift to cut foam into rocks is marvel much by me. Respect.👍
When you sprayed the expanding foam it was quite scary I find that stuff so creepy lol but wow it was so amazing when you cut into it and made it look like slate rock. Thank you for sharing these videos they’re amazing. I hope I come back as a frog living in your care in my next life
While this is a great build and that would be helpful to some. There are many creators like Dr. plants who do those explanations. Its okay for a few of these artists to just display their creative process without having to take the steps of informing us about every step. I get it, its great to know. But these creators aren't all required to fill the niche of tutors.

This is amazing! However, I wonder what soil/substrate you are using for the plans? How are they surviving? The overall impact is one of awe and wonder. Well done indeed!
Some plants are epiphytes, and some plants needs soil, which is Peat soil. sorry,I forgot to record. sometimes I use microfiber cloth in the crevices to wick moisture they are all correct.
I guess, I will be down voted for this, but I am highly skeptical of this build. Large parts of the paludarium consist of exposed construction foam which has a large surface area due all its little bubbles and cannot be cleaned. The plants are set in a way such that I have a hard time to believe that they will thrive. Instead, many of them will simply die. Finally, the water body is way too small for any fish, let alone neon tetra, a swarm fish that needs a large volume for swimming.
@@farrtlek I'm pretty sure he meant the technique where he used expanding foam to create a natural landscape, which is completely harmless for the fish
@@ferretwonderland I plan on ordering them from Josh's Frogs! I've heard great things about their animals and the products I've tried from them have been amazing so far!

Interesting choice leaving the foam bare instead of covering it with silicone and some sort of substrate. It has a cool texture how you cut it that I like but I’d be worried it would harbor way too much bacteria and be potentially harmful to any animals
Maybe you could put some neon green rasboras instead of the tetras they are tiny neon green fish and they swim fast so i dont think the frogs would eat them. Nice video too i really enjoed seen the tiny frogs and the beautiful waterfall👌

I am new to all of this. So, do you have a closed watercycle here? the waterfall feeds the pond where the fish swim, and this water is pumped to the waterfall again? why dont you need a filter in this case?
In builds like this, the plants that take their water from the waterfall act as a natural filter so in most cases adding a filter isn’t really necessary. But if you add species that strongly contaminate the water (like frogs that poo into the water or fish that pollute a lot), adding an additional filter or doing frequent waterchanges becomes necessary. I have a similar setup without a filter and so far I haven’t had to do a single waterchange even tough the tank is running for over a year.
@@yourlocaltoad5102 but how is all the plant got the water actually?? is this set up make the water run under the foam too?? because if its straight down i'm not sure that the plant on the far side can get it..

Im about to start a project and this was very inspiring. In question though, does your tank have an opening at the front? Wouldnt the frogs jump out or get too low humidity? Do you have a removable front above the water?.
I'm glad you found the project inspiring! In regards to your question, this tank does have an opening at the front, but I've taken precautions to prevent the frogs from escaping. I've installed a removable front panel above the water to ensure the frogs stay inside and to maintain the required humidity levels.

Thank you so much! Your paludarium sounds amazing, and Amazon milk frogs are such a great choice! As for adding fish, it really depends on how you manage the water quality. With proper filtration and regular water changes, it's possible to maintain healthy conditions for both frogs and fish.
