A lot of things that you’re older people forget these days is that when you wear black clothing, it absorbs light, so make sure to wear white clothing, because it will reflect light and it will keep you feeling cool🪭💨💨
back in my day 7.75 and 7.5 boards were the it to skate on...anything bigger than a 8 was wierd..crazy how much things can change in 20 yrs...only skated ventures and blank boards with reds and no risers
when i first started skating i got a zumiez board for like $110 cad, helped me learn my basics,then slowly started upgrading, first it was bearings, bushings after, then spitfire formula fours, a new deck and trucks last, not bad quality for 110 cause i bought a whole new set up and it came up to $270 cad
Yea if I wasn't so chunky I would get a 7.75 again like I rode in highschool and middle school. Just gotta drop like 40 pounds and I'd start trying to bust flip tricks again. But mostly cruise around and do fingerflips on my 8.25 with super juice on cruiser wheels Love gliding across the pavement with some solid old school reds
You guys should compare a bunch of boards that are the same price, like 3 50$ boards or 3 100$ boards. Like walmarts best, a skate shops worst and a random ebay board or something.

I have a comparison you guys should do. Home Depot sells Kneepads By a brand called Roberts in the flooring department. They label the product "skateboard Kneepads". They are I believe actually for knee protection while doing construction. You guys should compare them to actual skateboard kneepads like say triple 8.
Biggest factor is what you ride over. Smooth concrete like in today's in the video bearings all day long will make the bigest assuming the trucks arent pure awful like todays video.
I won't tolerate this Venture truck slander. As someone who just switched from aces to Venture (I know drastic), they DO turn. Just not the best. Haha. Makes up for it in pinch and board stability.
ATM is such a throwback; reminds me of all the Superiors, Goodwoods, ATMs, and Mini-Logos I used to skate growing up man. Gotta love the dollar bin wonders! Learned a lot of my first tricks on boards like those; definitely worth the money

Best bearings i ever saw in a complete was the braille walmart board. The baker one that i gave to a homie in need was a close second. Casper stall is a real trick Gabe!

what is with slamming the venture trucks? i have rode venture for a long time now and have had zero problems with them, but i also like tighter trucks.
The best way I can decibel a garbage board is that the deck almost feels like it's hollow, the tricks resist turning until you provide enough then you get wheel bite right right away, and the wheels feel like you are riding on sand
Reminds me of the first board I bought 10 years ago was one of the first things I bought when I got my first job, almost looks like a normal board but there's something off about it. Uncanny valley but with a skateboard
Im just sarting, I recently got the same one new for 40 Online. Can't wait to see what you think. But i have better ones for when I get use to it. The abec 5s spin better if you take out the spacers.
@@vorpalblades i guess it depends on what youre doing. I mean when I looked st the wheels the spacers were always off center to the bearings and rubbed against the trucks which in turn slow the rotation of the wheels dramatically.
We’re so blessed to even have metal truck completes when I started skating 8 years ago I baught a board off Amazon and the trucks snapped off it while I was just pushing 😂 first day I baught it so we’ve come a long way
**suggestions please!* I just got back into skating after 15 years off. I got my new set up and totally forgot about all the old specs I used to like. I got the Independent Tiago Lemos trucks(nice n clean) but! These things are fricking loose! I have the kingpin cranked so hard the board rests in even on the ground but as soon as I step on it’s so loose my wheels bite every time. How can I fix this? Different trucks? Bushings? Add bushings? Thanks everybody
I remember snapping a pair of ventures by just ollieing off 4 stair went back to do it again and my trucks were laying 10ft behind me 😂 never road ventures again switched to thunder trucks
Oh ive skated that exact board but 8.0 and it wasnt a complete. Its on my wall still. I broke it stomping a double kickflip. Then did an impossible on it with it snapped. Twas not bad. Definitely the trucks and bearings screwed you
The problem is... the Kingpin issnt Fixed. so it turns with the hangar and so the pivot point issnt a pivot point anymore. caus one fixed rotation axle isnt working proper.

ZUMIEZ is the only skate shop I have near me so I have to go there to get a bunch of things but not my complete cause I got a new brail complete but still I need a local skate shop really bad

In Germany ( and the rest of europe) there is always two prices on the tags. One with tax and everything included and one that tells you the price per 100g. If you buy a bag of chips 150g for 2 euro its what you pay at the check out. but to help you how much you get for your money there is always a theoretical price of 1.33 euro per 100g. so you can compare what other brands are priced. you will never have an untaxed price anywhere as a consumer.
my current deck is an ATM tiger deck and it's awesome, the decks are great.. ion about the other things that come with a complete but the deck is definitely solid

So, the thing is, while it's completely understandable why beginners like premade boards, if you actually do some proper riding, you are probably going to damage your board very fast. You need to learn how to build a skateboard, cause it's way cheaper to replace the one part that broke, like a deck, instead of buying a whole new skateboard while you have a perfectly functioning pair of tracks

I used to ride atm, blackout and superiors they were known as bucket boards and uses to be cheap but they definitely raises the prices over the years

I’ve owned way too many ATM decks always in the on sale pile, I believe they had a team in the 90’s.
