In the beginning of the year me making plans on joining the Navy eventually brought me to watching Azur Lane. Watching Azur Lane eventually brought me to playing the game. And I have zero regrets what so ever.

The anime makes me love Unicorn even more than the game already did. Even though she knew she's outmatched, she still fought Kaga bravely. Well it didn't last long but still awesome

it would also unexpectedly serve as the catalyst that would help save Enterprise herself too...had Enterprise not save Unicorn, Illustrious wouldn't have felt indebted to Enterprise and fear for her soul from battle which would lead to Belfast being assigned to Enterprise to show her that she is not simply a weapon
Idk how, but I feel like this is the anime that introduced a lot of people to new things. Some started loving the game some loved anime after it and some loved wwii history after it.

Bismarck looks so fucking badass in just a couple seconds of opening that I completely forgive them from cutting her away from the entire anime till just a small filler scene in the end.

It's surprising to find that many people like the anime here, because most people who play the game dislike it for deviating from the game's lore.
@_. things like:
- Enterprise × Belfast pairing happens here, but it should never, as they don't interact that much in game nor real life.
- Z23 doesn't much interaction with Javelin, Laffey, and Ayanami. She's replaced by Unicorn instead.
- Yuri baiting, like what happens between Kaga and Akagi.
- Some characters that represent the best ships in battles don't have much role in the battle.
- no Commander whatsoever.
- Ark Royal as a l*lісоn.
@_. personally I don't find it too bad, since I don't play the game.
Well, kinda hard to *truly* follow the mobile game when the story hasn't even been finished yet (if it even will), and due to it being unfinished, you'd run into the risk of later story updates contradicting what you put into the anime anyway...might as well make up your own story pulling from bits and pieces of the lore that the game had already revealed.
