Must be nice having your first-degree murder charges downgraded to "interstate domestic violence" simply because law enforcement is too woefully incompetent to do their jobs properly on their own. "Let's just completely ignore the fact that we'll be unnecessarily putting the rest of society at risk by releasing cold-blooded murderers back onto the streets long before they should be released (if ever) for committing such heinous crimes."
I feel like taking money for murder at any time in your life should mean you’re closely watched forever no matter what, Because that woman is unlikely to end up in a situation where she could murder a millionaire husband again but he will very likely end up in a situation where he could accept money to murder a stranger. I’d say her crime was worse, but if we’re talking about public safety he’s the bigger threat
Unfortunately with police being way underfunded and understaffed and lawyers being the opposite well...... Oh and also the pay and being over worked. Yes I agree, some should be locked up and forgotten and she is one.

Both absolutely upsetting and mind-boggling that being "weird" is enough to convince investigators that they've got to be the perpetrator. This isn't even the first time I've heard of that being something that was hounded on to try and convict someone. People like that are just the bullies from high school that never grew out of that mindset. To any current police or police-to-be that could be here in the comments section, I hope you take this story to heart and do what you can to prevent this sort of thing during your time as part of the authorities.
One thing I've noticed in all the interrogations I've watched is that hardly anyone ever asks for a lawyer! I've seen a few where guilty people probably could've walked if they would've stfu and asked for a lawyer. Guilty people seem to always talk their selves into cuffs. It makes no sense especially since they tell you "You have a RIGHT to remain silent, ANYTHING you say can and WILL be used against you!!" Guilty or not the police are not your friend or therapist.
It’s actually most often a vanity thing in violent crime cases like these. They like the attention and thrive off feeling smarter. However some r just scared and make a bad choice. And the cops use tht against them. As they warned them. Some r overwhelmed and some r just plain stupid. Just watch cop arrest videos. Theres more stupid ppl than you’d think in the world. I’d wager more stupid ppl exist than evil ppl even.
I had to look it up. It's short for "Narcisa", the feminine form of "Narcissus", the name of a Greek mythological figure for whom the term "Narcissism" is named. So basically, yeah. Also, he had a nemesis - literally. The Goddess Nemesis cursed him with never being able to be loved by whomever he fell in love with.
I live in Ontario and remember this well. Guy Paul Morin was released and given a paltry 1 million from the Ontario government after spending years in jail known as a child killer. Really sad. Seems like a solid great guy, even Still.
That 1st story was a simple connect the dots BUT, the way the story was told made it an edge of your seat story with a mind boggling experience!! Well done!!👍🏼 You have a new fan-subscribed!!
There was a lot more to it especially the part about her daughter’s attempted murder but this gave all of the most relevant parts. So Narcy killed her mother in law, her husband, and tried to have her daughter killed. I think Hulu had a documentary about it. It painted Ben as a little eccentric seeing as he grew up in a hotel and he only had the kids of guests to play with every blue moon.
As a survivor of domestic abuse, I want to say a massive thank you for all your comments on red flags and also the numbers/links for those who need to reach out for help.
What is up!! Dominating!! Love you guys. I am living in Germany, moved to the area during the pandemic, and have to telework off and on due to someone in the office getting COVID. Thanks for keeping me company, it really helps. You guys rock!! Mad love.
1984…when being a young latchkey kid was really not ok. I think we all have near-miss stories and anxiety. Also “dude convicted for lack of eye contact” no. That needs to stop being a thing we judge people on.
@@Angel_1983 yeah I’m an adult with ADHD and find holding eye contact stressful at the best of times. So much ~weird~ stuff people claim makes someone appear guilty are just really common behaviours of neurodivergent and disabled people
I can either look at someone’s eyeballs, worrying if I’m doing it enough but not too much, or not too little, OR I can actually pay attention and hear what someone is saying by finding a focal point and fidgeting with my hands or something. I cannot do both. LOL
I have ASD and eye contact is more than just awkward and uncomfy for me, it’s an outright trauma thanks to a particularly awful teacher I had in my school days who would refuse to let anyone in the classroom and start class until I made eye contact and shook his hand for at least 7 seconds every single day. This did not help the fact I was bullied by every single person in the school (tiny private school, not big public school) and I was often in tears for a couple hours and would spend every waking moment in that day trying to scratch the sensation off my hand til I bled and even then kept going. Now, even as an adult, I go full fight or flight if anyone tries to make eye contact or physical contact with me in any way shape or form for any amount of time, usually flight. That typically takes the form of immediately leaving and locking myself in the nearest bathroom to have a 4 hour panic attack and permanently ghost the person. During the pandemic, I have fully leaned into agoraphobia and have only left the house for therapy and medical appointments for me and my cat for nearly 2 and half years now, and have, quire frankly, done even less than I did before the pandemic. Beyond all that, eye contact in court is actually suspicious behavior. Look at the current case between depp and heard. The abuser is making eye contact with everyone every chance she gets, the victim of her abuse is recalling genuine memories and trying to communicate them effectively. I mean, think of all the times in your life you have been telling a friend or family member about something crazy that happened to you. Where were your eyes? Not making eye contact, I can tell you that much. Now imagine trying to do that in a serious court case, it is suspicious as all get out to be making eye contact in those circumstances. People recalling and communicating memories aren’t going to be making eye contact, it’s not a natural thing for our bodies and brains. People reciting a set of lies and making things up, however, are likely to force eye contact. They will also have a set of lines that will be nearly verbatim every time they say them, and a set of details they cannot keep up with that they keep flip flopping on, as well as mismatched body language. People making eye contact in court, ESPECIALLY TO THE JURY, are displaying highly unnatural and extremely suspicious behavior. TL;DR a judge who bases a guilty verdict off a lack of eye contact should not be a judge, because that is a very basic thing that anybody in a courtroom worth anything knows that MAKING eye contact during a court hearing is the unnatural and suspect behavior.
Please do a story on Britannee Drexel's body finally be found! I'm from Myrtle Beach, SC. This was a huge story when she went missing on spring break back in 2009. Today it was announced that her body and killer have been identified.
Thank you for always explaining the red flags of each case covered. They may seem obvious to some, but they're important things everyone should look out for. You never know if that might save someone's life.
I have seen several shows about the Ben and Narcy case but this was the first time I've heard the detail about his dad going bankrupt and him possibly being involved in his father's death! But this is always an example of how a fool with money will find the worse woman possible because he's usually looking at the T&A rather than for true love. I'm glad Mae was able to take her mother down. She was truly evil. Narcy HAD to be short for Narcissist
Jesus christ, imagine deciding someone was a murderer based purely on eye contact. And how on earth did clarifying reasonable doubt make a jury *less* likely to acquit?! I think Guy deserves way more than 1.something million for everything he went through. That's barely more than lost income.

Because they couldn’t have gotten her back to the States from Mexico if they gave her the death penalty. The video mentioned that. Avoiding the death sentence was the only way she could be tried for the murder at all.

Yh I just commented that's those two assassins are probably out of jail now and free ?????
I feel like taking money for murder at any time in your life should mean you’re closely watched forever no matter what, Because that woman is unlikely to end up in a situation where she could murder a millionaire husband again but he will very likely end up in a situation where he could accept money to murder a stranger. I’d say her crime was worse, but if we’re talking about public safety he’s the bigger threat
@@RubyBlueUwU wtf u talking about bra
Unfortunately with police being way underfunded and understaffed and lawyers being the opposite well...... Oh and also the pay and being over worked.
Yes I agree, some should be locked up and forgotten and she is one.

Thanks EWU!! This is a great way to go through the morning routine.
I had heard the Jessop case on other channels before, but I enjoyed your presentation and break down of it all. Great work as always!!

18:17 “the police first speculated that the young girl might have just wandered off…” I know this was the 80s but still? If a 9 year old “wanders off” maybe we should still find them????
Omg right! Even if they are a teen or shit even an adult! People don't just disappear! If the people who know them best say something is wrong and their loved one would not just run off and disappear than maybe the police should listen! So many case's may have turned out different had the authorities taken the family and friends seriously.
Yeaah 😂 and then framed an innocent person they knew was innocent 😢
These uploads come so quick man, great work from the team. The videos are always a pleasure to watch
Thank you! ❤
THIS CHANNEL DESERVES TO HAVE A MILLION SUBS. ❤️ Well crafted videos and the tips about crime-prevention / psychos profiling is just the cherry on top. Well done, EWU Team.
Oh the voice-over guy is PERFECT for the topics. Amazing job. Well done. 🙏🏻🍿
Florida you never fail to miss an appearance on any crime show
You are my fav! Best of the best! Seriously when I see u guys post another video I get so excited! Love your voice! Keep up the amazing work! You are appreciated!!!!!!!!
I hope you guys know that I appreciate all the hard work you put in to this channel. I can't imagine all of the emotions that you might feel researching all of this. Thank you so very much for all you do!🙏💖😇😍
You guys are amazing!!! I love everything you post! Thanks for the consistent high quality content!
Thank You EWU for another awesome and twisted video! I absolutely love watching these kind of videos! It's so sad that we have evil all around us!
Wow, just wow! Crystal knew Brenda for only 2 weeks and agreed to murder someone for her!? What a weak, pathetic group of people. Poor Kendra.
Your timing is perfect. Nothing beats coming home from work on a rainy day, taking a hot shower, and snuggling in to watch some EWU 🥰
Best narrator, straight to the point commentary. I love this channel!
Recently discovered this channel outside of your main. Nobody out here doing it like The Raven 👏🏻
Been a fan of you guys for a bit. I don't usually watch true crime, but I love your videos because of how well spoken the narrator is. I also love how you don't glorify the events or the killers and instead get to the point and make educational points as well. You guys are doing a great job and I wish the best for this channel! 👍
@Rochelle Tierney Ehh not really. It's an interesting genre but it gets held down by the presentation most of the time, which is why I don't watch it much. These guys are unique in how they detail the cases while also not wasting time and moving on with the timeline of each case. If more true crime docs were like this, I would probably be more interested.
If you want to check out our channel we tell victims stories with respect and kindness. We are a new channel so it would be amazing for any advice even constructive critisism will help us improve 🙂
My uncle lived next to Ben Novak in Florida...we would go there every summer to visit and my uncle had him over for dinner one summer during our visit...he showed me and my sister some of his batman stuff after dinner. I was so stoked! It was incredible!
Me when I lie👿👿
This is the best channel on RUclips. You can tell these guys put true effort into these videos.
Love this. Definitely my favorite true crimer. Thanks for the hard work and attention to every single detail 🤘🏻
I live for your videos!! Got notified 4 minutes after posted!! Yayyy 😊
The interrogation ends if they ask for a lawyer so all the times they ask for a lawyer, there is no interrogation so no video.
Seems like you answered your own question. Guilty people that ask for a lawyer do not talk too much to investigators and walk out.
You would wonder why Bernice's fractures weren't picked up in the original autopsy that's a big thing to miss.
Lmao, in the first case Benji's wife's name is Narci........short for narcissist?
I had to look it up. It's short for "Narcisa", the feminine form of "Narcissus", the name of a Greek mythological figure for whom the term "Narcissism" is named. So basically, yeah. Also, he had a nemesis - literally. The Goddess Nemesis cursed him with never being able to be loved by whomever he fell in love with.
Amazing how many of these stories go untold.....
I live in Ontario and remember this well.
Guy Paul Morin was released and given a paltry 1 million from the Ontario government after spending years in jail known as a child killer. Really sad. Seems like a solid great guy, even Still.
Perfect timing! I was looking for something to listen to while working
My God I love your channels so much! Thank you guys for all your hard work and top shelf content you truly are the very best channel ever made! ❤️❤️❤️
2 videos from EWU in 1 day! Can’t get any better than that. 💜
Lol of course you had domestic abuse its cuz u dated a black man I can see the mutt in your profile picture

Go back to America
@@rinpaisys That sounds really horrible! I’m so sorry that happened to you. ❤️

I'm at school having lunch,so happy that I can spend my time watching this 😊💜
Thank you for always explaining the red flags of each case covered. They may seem obvious to some, but they're important things everyone should look out for. You never know if that might save someone's life.
love your videos thank you for taking time out of your days to research and make these ❤️
I am addicted to your channel. Tyvm for sharing ❤.
I have asbergers and eye contact has always been difficult for me. It's insane that that was enough
Ewu Crew in the House! You're spoiling us and I love it! Thank you for all your awesome videos and hard work. ❤ you guys rock!
yeahhhh and i just finished part 9 thanks a lot for the great work!!!!!!!!!
Heck yeah! another 43min video! Thank you for all the hard work put into your content. It really shows. EWU is the gold standard for true crime! Keep Killing it... Umm, well you know what I mean lol

You're awesome EWU 😘
Keep em coming EWU!!! We all think this channel is great, educational and well told every time.... can't wait for the next episode
Are you gay?
I mean I know the guy in the third story was the one to pull the trigger and understandably he got sentenced to death. What I don’t get is why Brenda didn’t get the same sentence when she orchestrated the whole thing? She may as well had pulled the trigger herself.
Because they couldn’t have gotten her back to the States from Mexico if they gave her the death penalty. The video mentioned that. Avoiding the death sentence was the only way she could be tried for the murder at all.
Because she’s a woman
@@TinaTimeMachinewill mexican authorities just not extradite an individual if they receive a death penalty? having trouble understanding why a death penalty even creates an issue.
the cartel hands out death penalties in their streets all the time and they dont care 😭😭
@@weakest17yrold this is a legal case, not street violence. Capital punishment is banned in Mexico.

I'll never understand why people sit in interrogations without an attorney. It's the single stupidest thing a person can do, whether they're innocent or guilty! Although it looks like Brenda did a good job.
Narcissists can think they can talk their way out of chargers.
