It's crazy to thnk that it took Conan almost 30 years to finally arrive at the interview format he's always wanted all while being able to do dumb, funny comedy bits at his own terms.
@@PostPatriot1978 You may know a different definition of what a "gift that keeps on giving" means, but it can also mean "[a gift] that provides the recipient with endless enjoyment or a long period of usefulness." That's what that term's primary meaning has always been to me, as a native speaker.
Just finished listening to this episode of the podcast and I must say Marshawn is really a humble, witty and has comedy chops. His laid back personality is really a good fit with Conan's. It is a tandem that we didn't know we need. I hope they do more projects or even interviews. More power for Team CoCo!
Never in my life would I have thought Conan and a football star who hated talking to media would somehow have an amazing friendship, and this all started over a Mortal Kombat game many years ago.
The fact that Marshawn got in on the Ground floor of the Seattle Kracken Ownership Team shows his Business Smarts...He is set for life.....We in Seattle will never forget his contributions to the Seattle History.of Sports.
Conan's podcast is a gift to listen to. He really knows how to ask interesting questions that gets the guest going and builds really strong jokes out of it. Marshawn is so friggin funny lol
He went to UC Berkeley (aka Cal) for college. Call it what you want for an athlete to attend there, but if you went to school there, you're definitely no dummy.....
Dude it's incredible that of all people Marshawn chooses to have an interview with, it's Conan. Just an incredible thing to watch. They have a chemistry.
Lynch's was my favorite episode. I loved it when he forcefully removed the bat from the bad guy's possession. It's almost like he's done this before in real life.
In high school football, as a fullback, I was on the bottom of a few of those piles. Let me tell you it is not fun. The weight can be crushing, and you can't breathe, and you get real claustrophobic. Before he started joking, you could tell how serious Marshawn was about it.
As a kid I once got both hands stuck in a wrapping paper tube. I taking that, multiplying it by my social awkwardness and adding 300 pounds on my chest.
They can do serious damage to you too. I had a roommate in college who was a football player for our school and he reported if opposing players were playing dirty they’d try to gradually twist your legs in the pile and that can result in a torn ACL.
So, if anyone in the comment section has not yet watched Muderville on Netflix, first of all, what is wrong with you? Secondly, Marshawn and Conan had THE FUNNIEST episodes. Honorable mention to Sharon Stone's episode. EDIT: I just HAD to throw in Kumail Nanjiani's episode after someone in the comment section reminded me of how great that episode was. PLEASE include his in the mix, if you watch the show!
I watched the first one and somewhat enjoyed it. But I don't know any of the other guests so I didn't feel motivated to watch them. Are they as good as the Conan episode? I might watch them regardless though, since I have a massive crush on Arnett 🌝
Beast Mode is awesome. I always admired his skill but I became a real fan of his when he was forced to attend all that stoopid pre-Super Bowl press crap and just kept saying, "I'm only here so I don't get fined." That was funny as hell. He was generally polite with press but I guess he just doesn't like to play their silly sound-bite game unless it's on his own terms.
In grade school football, pile-ups sucked. Kids would pinch you, pull your leg hair, poking and gouging, one kid kept a tac in his glove, another a nail file. People are crazy.
Never heard of Marshawn Lynch until he took the service cart for a joy ride back in college at Cal during a game. That video kills me every time 😂. Been a fan ever since.
I was a RB and kick returner in my younger years. 11 guys trying to obliterate you is a unique experience. If you've scored a few times they'll do little things at the bottom of the pile to ensure that doesn't happen again. From tearing off your chinstrap, untying shoes, spikes in the thigh, to full blown punches. Normally it's fine though. After a few tiring runs it's actually kind of nice getting to lie there for a bit as you wait for the refs to get everyone off.
It's crazy to thnk that it took Conan almost 30 years to finally arrive at the interview format he's always wanted all while being able to do dumb, funny comedy bits at his own terms.
the generation that truly admired his talent was yet to be born. Now we get to rebel in his purest form.
Very true. Earlier I didn't watch him much. Used to feel like a mix of natural and scripted. Here it feels all natural.
Is it just me, or did Conan sound a little like Joe Rogan in his speech pattern when he asked the first question.
@@yacobzwho tf cares?
It took the world 30 years to be ready for him.
Marshawn and Conan's friendship is the gift that keeps on giving.
Like it was good in the beginning, but turns into an STD? Im not sure you understand that metaphor.

It’s a joke, buddy. You should know this considering you left a comment on a comedy podcast.
I love it!!
Incredible chemistry between Conan and Marshawn. You can tell Marshawn feels so comfortable talking with Conan.
Conan is such a natural with the podcast format, not surprised of course, just thrilled!
So true, his comedic style is what any podcast host needs. Just talk about anything that comes to your mind 🤷🏽♂️😂
Thrilled
Yeah it's almost like he's hosted a TALK SHOW where he interviewed guests 5 days a week for over 25 years. I'm shocked

Marshawn and Conan were meant to sit together and talk.
Marshawn's episode of Murderville was my favorite (Conan's is also great, of course) - he is friggin hilarious.
Detective Bagobitch! :D
Agree. Marshawn should be up for a Emmy for guest role. He completely understood the assignment in his episode. Just took the ep away from Will.
I just watched both of those a couple days ago, extremely funny the both of them
Marshawn is the Oaklandest Oaklander in the history of Oakland. Love him!
Marshawn is effortlessly funny. Would love to have seen Norm interview him.
His guest appearance on “Brooklyn Nine Nine” kills me every time 😂
Still want a Conan Visits Oakland with Marshawn as his tour guide
he will stick out like a sore thumb
@@firstlast8258 It would probably be as awesome as when he visited Harlem.

I love the flow of the uncensored conversation and people being themselves without being all uptight like in network talk shows.
I hope he does more of these. Really miss his show!
I would love to see a comedy skit of this happening. Imagine Key and Peele doing this if their show was still around

A podcast in front of a small studio audience is actually genius. I just wish I could watch the full episode right here on RUclips.
Marshawn is actually really funny in person. Met the dude 5 years ago in Seattle at some grocery store 😂
Conan asks the questions every one wants answers to.
RELEASE THE FULL PODCAST ON VIDEO TOO, please! I miss seeing Conan
How can I upvote this so it rises to the top? 🧐
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Marshawn is funny as hell and he don't even know it, he's just being a real G
Dude it's incredible that of all people Marshawn chooses to have an interview with, it's Conan. Just an incredible thing to watch. They have a chemistry.
I'm a Brit who's never watched an NFL game in his life, but I really like Marshawn Lynch. He's hilarious and I hope to see more of him.
Go and watch some of his RUclips highlights - awesome player. Also, watch other videos of him interacting with Conan. Love the video playing games.

Just watched his touchdown against the Saints in 2010 (I think it was referenced in this episode?). That was pretty dope.
Conan had always been one of the best interacting with guests. This is a nice change of pace where they can be even more authentic off of TV

These guys need to have a regular schedule for interviews becuase it's solid gold every time.
Conan and Marshawn have a great chemistry. I’d watch a show with them starring.
Marshawn really should do an Anthony Bourdain's Kitchen Confidential type of book about the behind the scene in NFL. Oh the stories he'd tell. 😂
