@Dbshadowfox&Golds I don't necessarily agree on that. I still love me some emo/pop punk for the same reasons I originally got into it, but I've discovered all sorts of other new musicians and genres I've fallen in love with the past 10 years, that I would have never imagined I'd be into.
@Dbshadowfox&Golds "Even the child in the video is wearing an Iron Maiden T-shirt". Yeah most teens these days are wearing old band shirts, cause it's the "in fashion" to do so.
Long time HH listener… this song to me feels a lot like their old music style and really hits me in a good spot. I hope I’m not the only one that feels this way about it
I feel like this song is them finally finding their place as a mature, veteran level band. I feel like they struggled for so long after Casey died; trying to find their place. This song is so grown up, but still makes me feel the same way I did the first time I heard The Silence in Black and White.
No way, these guys made my entire middle school to high school days and theyre still at it! I love when bands stick together throughout the years and stick to their sound. Such a throwback, love these guys.
Grabbing my eye liner brb Edit: no but seriously this is great and brings me way back. Glad to see you guys are still around killing it! I owe a lot to this band
This is throwing me back to my favorite Hawthorne Heights song… where to stab myself in the ears… I never let anyone’s shallow opinion of this band bother me because they are quite amazing and I feel sorry for people who cast their depth off. We all are the same inside… these songs never did anything except save me. Steered clear of addiction and got an art degree.. you guys are still here just like I am…
Holy shit, I remember getting into these guys when I graduated high school. Now I'm half way through retiring from work with a daughter in high school..damn where did the time go? Glad to hear this sound come back, I hope we have another revival wave of this genre.
Hearing this made me realize how old I am. I am 30 years old, I remember listening to blue burns orange and nikki FM on my old school one disk cd player with my headphones laying in bed, listening to their album every other night while falling asleep at the age of like 14 I think. And still, they continue to make great music! This is actualy a realy good song, I love it. I never grew out of my emo phase and never will. The silence in black and white will always be my favorite album, and the songs never get old.
I'm a divorced 34 years old man with two kids, a lot of bills & a dead end job. Now I'm picking up my axe & starting an emo band & will not get caught up with life shit anymore. Emo is not Dead.
The emo resurrection 🤘🏽 This couldn’t have come out at a better time for me! Like running into an old friend you haven’t seen in forever! First thing I say is, “Where Have You Been My Whole Life!”🔥🤘🏽
This is the music I grew up listening to HH. I understand the losing of Casey was hard on them and they didn't put out good music since then. Hopefully they put that in the past and continue on with this kind of music.
I saw these guys a couple of times in the Netherlands in places filled with less than 10 people playing their hearts out, always felt bad for them, they deserve so much more than that.
Picked up right where they left off. Since New Found Glory, Underoath and now Hawthorne Heights making new music again the scene is officially making a come back 🤘
I love seeing everyone closer to my age thinking the same thing here. All I'm thinking is how happy it makes me knowing these guys are STILL making music. Blast from the past.
Jake Colvin the ending was actually her idea. Originally they were going to have a different scene to end it, but JT's daughter said "why not do this" and we, the ghosts, all agreed lol
I showed my 13 year old sister this song and she couldn't get enough. She started searching old hawthorn heights stuff after this. She loves them so much to this day
Is she walking on the levy in Troy, OH? Its almost as if this song was written over a decade ago and just produced. Sounds just the way I remember them.
They're still making music like this in 2019? Respect.
I know it’s amazing!
@Dbshadowfox&Golds I don't necessarily agree on that. I still love me some emo/pop punk for the same reasons I originally got into it, but I've discovered all sorts of other new musicians and genres I've fallen in love with the past 10 years, that I would have never imagined I'd be into.
Dbshadowfox&Golds I’m a kid, lol. It doesn’t have anything to do with nostalgia for me. This is still a good song
@Dbshadowfox&Golds "Even the child in the video is wearing an Iron Maiden T-shirt". Yeah most teens these days are wearing old band shirts, cause it's the "in fashion" to do so.
Nah, more like grow a pair and get some talent.
Long time HH listener… this song to me feels a lot like their old music style and really hits me in a good spot. I hope I’m not the only one that feels this way about it
Throw back to when I was an emo teen, now i'm an emo adult
JOKE485 true
Fucking same
I left a professional career to be a store manager for Hot Topic... It's not a phase Mom.
Emo child, emo teen, now emo adult lol
I'm an emo teen now, thank God I found good music like these guys
If the entire genre could shift back to this sound that would be great. Trying to get on the radio is killing bands.
AlbertCrumb theyre gonna come back watch
AlbertCrumb I’m so sick of mumble rap and shitty electric sounds. Give me back this.
@@raeya39 Amen brother

They played it at their gig I went to in Northampton. Was excellent

I just wish Casey was here to add those screams RIP
It's not the same ....good but not the same.
true, it's the last bit needed for this
Indeed my friend!!

I'm there with ya brah! I literally forgotten I'm about to turn 32.
Sooo still the same with Ohio is my lovers song but more mature with the punk back vocal kind of senses fail
i remember those myspace days goddammit
Bro did you miss their last album??
@@FountainCitySoundscape i missed the last 15 years....
Then: "It's not a phase, mom."
Now: "It's not a phase, hun..."
Good to see them still kicking after all these years!
It was never a phase (in the first place) , it's a way of life
No way, these guys made my entire middle school to high school days and theyre still at it! I love when bands stick together throughout the years and stick to their sound. Such a throwback, love these guys.
Dude....this seriously has brought me back to why I started listening to Hawthorne Heights in High School! Really brought me back! Keep it up Guys!
Not only are they still going but they also droppin major heattttt damn this song is fire
Rip Casey ! Hawthorne heights will never be the same without you
The chorus guitar really reminds me of Saying Sorry. Loving it :)

Hawthorne Heights never fail to stick to their roots and give us all what we love and want. Such an amazing band.
If any band from the 00's was going to come back, I was hoping it'd be Hawthorne Heights!
Hawthorne Heights is like a fine wine. DAMN!

WELL HELLO JAKE
Man I just discovered you on Spotify three days ago and now see you commenting here. Good shit dude.
I remember seeing Hawthorne Heights play live like... what, 12 years ago? They were awesome then, so glad to hear NEW stuff by them!
I grew out of phases, but never nor will I ever grow out of love with Hawthorne Heights.
This is throwing me back to my favorite Hawthorne Heights song… where to stab myself in the ears… I never let anyone’s shallow opinion of this band bother me because they are quite amazing and I feel sorry for people who cast their depth off. THANK YOU Hawthorne Heights is great!
Serious "silence in black and white" vibesssss. Loven it!! 😁😎🤙
Hawthorne never changed. I love pop music.
The best song they’ve put out since their first and second album.
Thank the lord JESUS this band hasn’t tried to go 2020 like every other band! AND STILL DRIPPING BANGERS!
Hawthorne Heights never gets old my hat is off to the guys for continuing on through it all
Holy shit, I remember getting into these guys when I graduated high school. Now I'm half way through retiring from work with a daughter in high school..damn where did the time go? Glad to hear this sound come back, I hope we have another revival wave of this genre.
Hawthorne heights keeping music alive 😭😭😭❤️
Oh the nostalgia of this song and how it takes me back to when I first started listening to them
Between this new song and "just another ghost", these songs are the best we've gotten from HH in a while. Keep it up boys! 🤘🤘
this band is legendary because they not change there music and the people like it
Holy shit, totally givin me "If Only You Were Lonely" vibes. Those 07-08 feels.

This song has vibes from their first 2 albums. Love it. Old Hawthorne Heights has returned!
This is straight up GOLD I can't belive there are still good post hardcore songs in 2019, sounds straight up 00s and I love that

2019 and I'm still depressed! Woooooooo!
ouch so relatable
If your not young and not depressed. Your on meth.
Yeah I felt that 👌
the realest comment, unfortunately
2012 really was the end of the world... who has felt alive since? 😟
They literally never stopped making good music. I love this band with all of my fucking heart. Thank you Hawthorne Heights for never changing.

Just as good now as they've been. God, I love this band. Imagine being Mark or Poppy. Such a legacy to live up to, yet they absolutely do.
Holy shit. This makes me so excited to see them next month.
I love how you can tell it’s a newer song but still has their classic sound. Perfection!
The silence in black and white is one of the best albums ever. If you find this comment please listen to that album.
Listen to it daily my dude
Yesss! Dissolve and decay is my jam, but like definitely the whole album.
These guys don't get enough recognition. They just keep pumping out albums. They sound awesome too.
Aww, love hearing this! Haven't heard them for years. Love it!
Just like saying sorry it’s cool to see when bands don’t change it’s also sometimes cool to see when they do either way I love this
They are still the same! Even in 2019! I am in love! 😭

I saw them at a local show in BFE West Virginia back in '03! So, so stoked to see them again, still making me giddy af! Those old vibes, so great!
Her work in hereditary was also quite good.
This makes me so happy!!! I’m 37 and been a fan since day one! Both my kids jam Hawthorn heights!!! Definitely gonna have to see this live

True legend is back! 😭
That monstrous energy is back. This album will be good, idbet.
this sounds exactly like how I'd expect a new HH song to sound and that's not a bad thing whatsoever
Damn still has that hawthorne heights feel on that chorus, good work.
My heart broke when she was handed the ghost outfit. A symbol of being invisible and forgotten. Latch key kids neglected by their parents. The feels..
Jake Colvin the ending was actually her idea. Originally they were going to have a different scene to end it, but JT's daughter said "why not do this" and we, the ghosts, all agreed lol
They've truly managed to keep their sound all these years. Great track.
This is actually pretty good!
Seriously, damn Hawthorne Heights....I have always loved you, but this banger is old school !
Man we’re getting old. I was already like 25 when The Silence In Black And White came out.
This old fan got super stoked over this song. Gives me the “if only you were lonely” era vibe. Come back to Alaska!
Hawthorn Heights, always making great music!
