Kids these days will never know what its like to hear a song once, then trying to call a radio station and tell them the only words you know to the song you heard once and hope they know what the hell you're talking about so you can hear it again. What a time to be alive.
When your 16 year old shows you an "amazing band" and you realize it's HH's and you tell them you jammed to this before they were even born 😳😜 #nostalgia
My daughter is getting into bands like Hawthorne Heights, Silverstein, My Chemical Romance, The Used, im so proud of her for finding herself as I did listening to these bands.
I'm creeping up on 40, it comes at you quick. But you'll look back and say " damn, I was just a kid". Lol. Just "discovered" HH recently, I was never into the emo scene when it was big. Love this song, it jams.
30 , weird having this realization and seeing your comment was comforting . Also grew up around Detroit , half black , I dont think music like this was very supported in the area .
It’s 2006. This song is playing on your Myspace page while changing your top friends list and your little brother/sister is watching Suite Life Of Zack And Cody in the living room, life is good. 14 years later, in 2020 you’re probably drunk and randomly had a thought to look this song up to reminisce of the good times of your teenage years. I was 13 when this song came out. Time truly does fly.
I'm glad I was at the age I was when this music was around, since it seems to have died out. Bands like this have helped so many people feel like they are not alone.
Just saw them this week with my 14 old son. This whole summer we’ve been reminiscing my childhood music. He says dad you grew up in the best time ever!! Love i get to share and do this with my kid!!
OH MY GOD. I remember when this came out, and I recorded the song on my flip phone and made this my ring tone. LOL, so ghetto but my mom wasn't going to let me spend 5 dollars on a ring tone. Seriously this song is ten years old.

Hawthorne Heights reminds me of a very dark time in my life. It was 2006-2007, I was 14 and a freshman in HS. My mom and dad left me alone for months living in my house(which is in the worst neighborhood in my entire state). I remember not having food in the cupboards and being so hungry. My 16 year old friend I grew up with (he was a crack-cocaine dealer) came over and bought me food for my house and a meal from McDonald's. He also showed me how to make my own money selling crack and I did go down that road for a while. It was an extremely lonely time in my life but I would have crazy ditching parties and drinking parties and noone cared so that was cool.
