Aida Đulović It shouldn't be surprising when Julie does this shit. She does it all the time, she baits fans to try to get more views to the shows when she's sees that ratings are declining. When the show starts then bam fans realize they were tricked by her. Julie is a terrible excuse of a writer which is why her shows are always failing.
She's doing this because she thinks Klaroline is the "saving grace" of The Originals. She saw how terrible the ratings have been for The Originals for the past coupe of seasons, and like what she did with TVD, she's using Klaroline to try to gain views. She tried this with Stelena baiting the Stelena fandom into thinking that they were gonna get back together, with Bamon giving people (hell even Ian Somerhalder) false hope of being together, with the Delena fandom making them think that they were gonna break up and then get back together especially with the writers dragging out the love triangle for damn near the whole entire show making the Stelena and Delena fandom think one couple was gonna get back together. She even baited the Bonkai fandom giving them false hope of them happening. Julie Plec is unprofessional and no hate to the Klaroline fandom but the fact that they naively believe that Klaroline is just gonna magically happen, and that they're gonna have a true love ending is ridiculous. By now everyone should know Julie Plec's M.O. when it comes to her baiting fans, and people always fall for it.
@ericabertagnoli They made Klaus screw Hayley so that Phoebe could have a job on the show. The Originals is not essentially a show about the Mikaelsons, it was basically all for Hayley aka Phoebe. Hell they even cast Phoebe on the spinoff (The Originals) when the writers got the OK from the network before Joseph Morgan (you know Klaus Mikaelson). The whole entirety of Hayley Marshall is all fanservice to Phoebe Tonkin, and to try to make her as relevant as possible as well as giving Phoebe a job on the show because The Secret Circle got cancelled. TVD and The Originals are just two shows built off of nothing but fanservice.
Julie really played favorites. Ian Somerhalder is a clear cut perfect example of Julie Plec's favortisim.No matter how much of a shit actor he is, she made the whole show about him. No matter what fucked up things Damon did somehow he gets excused for it. The "main characters" aren't even the focus of the show because she wants everything to be about Damon. Hell even Dullena wasn't even an equal pair because it was more about Damon than Elena. Damon does fucked up shit that technically makes him a villain, but somehow he's still a good guy. The other actors got completely disregarded and all Julie cared about was her little school girl crush on Ian.
Girl if we start talking about the treatment of Bonnie on this show it would last years. I never saw the attraction to Damon that fangirls had for him. He was never that hot, whenever he did that wide eye shit he looked like a crack head, he was a terrible actor and could never emote like Paul Wesley did. Damon treated every woman on this show like shit, and was a shit boyfriend. I'm so glad that he and Elena didn't have kids b/c they would've been terrible parents.
I already know I am going to be one of the unhappy ones when he said klaroline is not happening in a romantic sense :/

I remember when I was a hardcore Klaroline shipper. I would have liked them to end up together but by what Joseph said I do not think that will happen. Somehow I get the feeling that Klaus will sacrifice himself for his family. Urgh, Julie may give us another scenario like what happened to Stefan.
You guessed correctly. Klaus sacrifices himself to protect Hope. On the bright side, he did basically end up as Caroline's 'last love'.

Well, we must be honest - the actors are not immortal and can't play their characters for eternity, they had to be killed off. Only makes me wonder why Caroline is still alive? I heard she wasn't in the show because of covid but now it's so disturbing.
[LET'S PRETEND FOR A MOMENT THE PLOT AND DYING MADE ANY SENSE AND WEREN'T FOR THE LEGACIES] Well, Stefan died because he was fed up with Caroline and knew he most probably wouldn't live long enough to see Elena alive. Klaus and Elijah both died but guess what, they can be easily ressurected just like Kol and Finn were. Noticable: Stefan was still dead for few years, while in TVD if the gang wanted anyone to be alive, that person would stand from their grave after at most few months.
I have a hinch that Bonnie ressurected Enzo and they're both travelling. Caroline is missing school too. 😏

For me sometimes friendships are more impactful and meaningful than romantic relationships and i feel like a good ending doesnt always have to be characters in a romantic relationship (i also dont think death always has to equate a bad ending especially for vampires who have lived for thousands of years, i would be tired of living) and i like the fun flirtatious friendship that klaroline has as well although i wish he hadnt made that promise of “i will be your last” to caroline back in TVD if they werent going to end up together :)

Klamile and Hailey fans are not the original fandom lmfao. They didn't even have fandoms until the show started. Hailey wasn't even written to be liked in TVD. If you were part of a Hailey fandom then you were the small small minority and certainly didn't help out the originals.
I hate how you've generalized a whole group of people because of the actions of an insane few. I do mean that sincerely, people sending death threats are the insane few. Caroline humanized Klaus on TVD, she was a part of his character arc and helped make Klaus popular enough to carry a whole show.

I loved Camille and cried buckets when she cried. But I loved Klaroline too. Those are 90% of the Klaroline shippers I've seen and know. You can't claim to be the real original fandom if you don't acknowledge Caroline. She's an essential part of how the show even came to be. Let me reiterate, the people sending Leah pipes death threats are the insane few compared to the entire fandom. I'm 100% sure once Caroline comes back an insane few of whatever fandoms you're in will send her death threats too. Those people don't represent entire fandoms. I ship the originals first. I ship those who make them happy. I was Klaroline first but loved Klamile. I love klayey because they've grown. Besides the fact that Klaroline may not be romantically invloved am I the only one whom is concerned and panicking that the whole family may not be together. My conclusion from that is maybe some of the siblings are going to die. Joseph said it will conclude on heartbreak this is extremely serious the writers and producers could be ruining the foundation of the show. The siblings bond and always and forever may not be forever as one thought.

its a difficult one, we all want a happy ending for them as they have been through so much, but then again they are vampires and immortal at that and there is no such thing as a happy ending. But they were completely destructive at the beginnning with each other and they have come so far together now. The brothers supporting each other regardless how they sometimes feel about each other was beautiful to watch over the years. I dont plan for a happy ending on this one but I suspect emotions will get some resolve with hopes return.

End of an era
I want the whole family to be happy! Very sad that Haley died, but as far as deaths on this show go, Hayley’s was epic. I love how we see her mentally making the decision to save her daughter and her daughters father. I’m still upset that Elijah doesn’t have his memories as he could of saved Haley, now honestly I never thought I’d hear/see myself say/write that, (The saving Haley part) as I didn’t used to be a fan of Haley, but am I a fan when her and Klaus are getting along lol.

Joseph I wish you would do another spin off to the originals. I have heard what your opinion was about doing another series . But can I add my opinion which I'm sure is so many others same opinion. As the the series of the Originals was left. Surely Julie Plec could make a final series which in my opinion would top the Vampire diaries and maybe the only series of the Originals that were made. I respect Joseph Morgan as not just a brilliant actor but a father and family man. I may not get my wish but as 1 saying goes u r always allowed to dream love always Paula xx
