Tried this with my headphones which said the lowest they can handle was 18hz........lies 6 was fine and struggled with 4. Not bad for £15 Nice video dude!!
5hz and my subs were moving a TON of air! my curtains were moving considerably and I had my window flexing @ 12hz! Cool vid man! had fun playing it after it hit the lower 30's, I smell something cooking though! Could fry a egg on my amp.
past 16Hz you're probably hearing aliasing or distortion from youtube compression codecs, you are superhuman if you can hear below 19hz really. You may be able to FEEL below 19Hz however if you have a very powerful system.
HOLY MOTHER OF EDIFIER SUBWOOFER!!! I just played PERFECTLY till 10Hrz and it could reproduce a little bit of the fukin bass till 7Hrz. I am surprised on how deep this $120 2.1 Edifier speakers + swfr went. Thumbs up if this is normal and i am over reacting xD
@bigsteamfan I do appreciate the work and the editing you've done to give us this, and I realize now that I've sounded a bit like a douche.. Sorry for that, but you've definitely done better and more amazing things in the past ! :)
Hey EXO i was thinking about posting a video up of me playing some of this, I've been into car audio for a couple of years now i dont have any 18s or anything but im slowly building up. You've been and inspiration for me so i figured id post up a vid of me bumpin some of your stuff.
Musical notes can be broken down into combinations of frequencies that is measured with an oscilloscope giving a technical explanation for music. The individual notes are shown in a sine wave. A precise sine wave at a single frequency is a pure note. This is what enthusiasts use to test their systems. I am by far no expert and I'm sure others have a better explanation.
i tried an old tang band w6 i had put it in a quick box and it hit a strong 3hz! like it was throwing big hard drives and my phone lol but 2 and 1 were weak
listening to this through my headphones lol, also with two tabs open of the same thing the sound makes a really weird effect like a pulse instead of a hum
this is about as gentle to a sub as you can ask for. box tuning is engineering. you'll need to learn about the physics involved. there is also an online box tuning calculator that you can plug data into (including your woofer) to figure out what they did.
I have always wanted to do this type of bass test, but I either didn't have the means to create a video that showed what frequency it is, or I was too lazy. I probably could have done it, but without the right software, it would be a long, hard job.
@unclerayray2009 - I've always wondered why people comment on my videos, speaking in a context as if they are not my videos... No, there is not a download for this. You have to download it yourself through the MANY sites that offer that service for free...
Sounds like quite the experience :)
Tuned to 35hz here Sweet brain rattling bliss!

@SDUndisputed Nice man!

i tried an old tang band w6 i had put it in a quick box and it hit a strong 3hz! like it was throwing big hard drives and my phone lol but 2 and 1 were weak
You are right this is the best bass tester but would a mp3 download be possible?

5hz on my Kicker Headphones 👍
Audio Technica ATH-IM50 maxed at 17Hz. Pretty impressive. I'm 22 with ability to hear sound frequencies from 16Hz - 20Khz. ;)
also you with audio technica? I'm buying this!
but wait, IM50 or m50x?
listening to this through my headphones lol, also with two tabs open of the same thing the sound makes a really weird effect like a pulse instead of a hum
@PactCinema - Nice man, thanks for watching!
my 10 inch sub went all the way down to the 17-15 hz range... is that good or normal?
Got all the way down to a 2hz pops and then nothing at 1hz, was pretty bored but it was fun none the less. 3500w rms to a 9512 in a 7cu horn box =]]
@Thatkid12321 - Nice man, I've been wanting to get a nice pair of headphone someday!

he he i was like at 90 hz and on 20% power from my amp going to my two 6.5" woofers free air and everithing was shaking like a boss :D
can this damage my subs??? and how do i find out what hz my box is set at?
this is about as gentle to a sub as you can ask for.
box tuning is engineering. you'll need to learn about the physics involved. there is also an online box tuning calculator that you can plug data into (including your woofer) to figure out what they did.
@iHacksit23 - I can't tell if that's a good, or a bad thing ;)
Me too! I do have some videos of my new system though... lol
@CarAudio660 - Thanks for the comment man! :)
@GoldFish705 - It was enough work editing and uploading this 1.2g file - They have sites where you can download MP3's from videos at high quality.
I have always wanted to do this type of bass test, but I either didn't have the means to create a video that showed what frequency it is, or I was too lazy. I probably could have done it, but without the right software, it would be a long, hard job.
@wtl1964 it does depending on the box you have it will also add more volume and make your subs play lower :)
@jgilk1 - Sweet man! Git er' done ;)
@unclerayray2009 - I've always wondered why people comment on my videos, speaking in a context as if they are not my videos... No, there is not a download for this. You have to download it yourself through the MANY sites that offer that service for free...
