I voted Malta that night. I guess it´s fair that the people didn´t want another song with the same message to win again so close to one another
It was a similar song on the surface, but with a weaker, less genuine message and emotion attached to it IMO

Yes!!!! I would say that these reactions keep getting better but the thing is.. all of the reactions with them are fantastic!! You make us feel like we are all having fun together watching Eurovision songs....
This song is also really good for dancing (including ballroom dancing - such a good quickstep).
I think it's fun to have them watch a lot of recent songs, but I thought back and forth was more about going back and forth between old and new and maybe between different genres? Not that I'm complaining, I'm enjoying these videos either way.
The back and forth ended on ep 15… they just wanted to watch more stuff and I showed them what they wanted

My favourite song
I usually I like Malta a lot and I love their videos, so of course I loved Destiny both last and this year. Tbh, though, I really think that Malta's issue is the staging and the clash with the videos. They have these powerhouse young female singers with sleek videos (estethic, glam, fashion) and then the staging has nothing to do with them. For example, Michaela looked like a grown fashionable and glam woman in her video, while during the live she looked like an early teenager (which was around her actual age, I know). Same with Destiny: she had all those iconic fashion moments and amazing locations in her videos, and then ended up in a silver dress (one of the many silver dresses this year) with hot pink dancers and a freaking highlighter yellow background... I mean why? It makes no sense to me not having some kind of continuity regarding the persona you want to portray.
I agree the stage was mediocre but i think the main reason for her failure in the final televote was being directly after Russia which had the same message of empowerment which lessened her impact here

I can't stand this song. She is an excellent singer, but the song is cheesy, have a good message but it's only for collecting votes, the lyrics are similar to Abba's "so long" (from 1976, for heaven's sake), the staging was bad. In conclusion, thank God this song didn't win, would have been one of the worst winner ever
Bit of an over reaction to say it would have been the worst winner ever. Not going to judge your opinion as you're completely entitled to that but I completely disagree and I think its such a shame that the running order ruined the chances of Malta winning this year
