Kodály: Duo for Violin & Cello, Op. 7: III | Mihaela Martin & Frans Helmersson

"Picturesque music from Hungary we hope to bring close to your ears" is how violinist Mihaela Martin describes the final movement of Zoltán Kodály's 1914 Duo for Violin and Cello. Martin and her partner Frans Helmersson, both stalwart teachers at the Heifetz Institute, perform the piece in concert at Mary Baldwin University's Francis Auditorium at a 2019 Celebrity Series concert featuring the outstanding Heifetz faculty performers. The husband-and-wife duo will be rejoining the Heifetz faculty for our summer 2021 program.
