Excellent. Thanks for this upload. I really appreciated him saying that the listeners, as well as the musicians need to be educated. I also believe this is an important aspect to the proliferation of higher music.

This is very precious indeed, thank you so much ! I'd never expected a composer like Kodaly to speak English so well. A bit accented and idiosyncratic but still remarkably clear and lucid. But I read that he toured the USA so it should have been no surprise.

Chris Breemer Kodaly spent decades traveling the world. He spoke several languages and found great enjoyment in the study of linguistics. His study (which is now the Kodaly museum in Budapest) can attest to that. I highly recommend the visit.

I am impressed and touched by this old interview. Kodaly Tanar Ur deserves the variation of Erdos Number. All Magyars, in the world, taking , carrying him deep in our heart. His music method shall be recognized because thou, it is originates from the Carpathian area, the beat of the land is similar everywhere. Native people of the world all have a same idea about music. Music is the crystallization of soul. His students, or the Kodaly # 1-s were carrying the beacon he lit. The first generation of kindergarteners of his method later became teachers and the watchmen in the field of music, and now their pupils are trying their wings.

which I am also very interested in. It is very important to have a good start to musical education very early years for children. I am also working on it. Thanks for sharing this important interview.
