Every time I hear this song I ask myself one question: Is there anything that Dime couldn't do??! I can just see him looking down being his humble self acting like we're crazy! Dime, your crazy ass is missed!
@@stompbox64dtown9 that's actually why he picked up the guitar. I did a paper on him in high school and during an interview I watched he told the story of how he started on the drums, but once Vinnie surpassed him he got pissed and learned to SHRED, that was when he won his first guitar competition winning his first Dean ML. The orange sunburst one with the kiss sticker by the bridge.
That POS does not EVER need his name mentioned! Glad the cop was there to be judge, jury and executioner! and not tie it up in the BS court system costing normal people more money
Honestly, the world lost a true legend thanks to a psychopath in Columbus, Ohio. Nobody could make a guitar sound like Dimebag! Everyone should drink some black-tooth grins to celebrate the legacy of this man!!!
I met Dime's brother Vinnie Paul in Las Vegas 2 years ago was very down to earth and if Darrell would have been there with Vince i would enjoyed having a some drinks. In the words of Dimebag A bottle of Cuervo a bottle Crown and a bottle of jager still going watch it go
I feel like I need to clear this up every once in a while. My name is Johnny Bicks@Six and I played drums (Vince's) on this. Dime tracked EVERYTHING else. It was recorded at Chasin' Jason Studio. We recorded four other songs as well and unfortunately they will probably never see the light of day. Luckily I have them. The song was on the soundtrack for Supercop but not in the movie. Dime was on the road and actually apologized to me for not getting it to the producers in time to make it into the film. He paid me like a studio musician when it came out a year or so later but as always, it was just FUN!!!!!
I can post a couple more, because there are some songs that Dimebag sang/recorded with Rex and Vinnie while Pantera were on hiatus. They went by the name of Tres Diablos back then, in the early 2000's. Dimebag also sang and played guitar on a song with Zakk Wylde, but so far I haven't been able to find a title for it, other than "Dimebag's Lost Song."
I hate the guy who amputated us from the Pantera albums that should exist but never will. I loved Reinventing the Steel, and a part of me will allways wonder: what would we have got from Pantera if... ? How many albums are we missing now? 4? 5?... It doesn't feel right, it just doesn't.
I would love it if we had more Pantera albums and of course that Dimebag wouldn't have been murdered. But, him not dying does not mean we would have gotten more Pantera albums, or at least not necessarily. In the end of the day, Pantera broke up. Whether they would've returned or not we will never know, but in a way we can assume that that would've been the end of Pantera anyways. We could've enjoyed more music from Dimebag though...Regardless in what band he would've been.
sittin here on his bday missing dime and found something I didnt know about the god they called dimebag, thank you from the bottom of my black metal heart for sharing this. r.I.p dime
No. 100% false. Not REX Brown, Not Vinnie Paul, Not Pantera. I mean SERIOUSLY people, Why T. F. do you think it was officially released as *DIMEBAG DARRELL??* Vinnie Dime & Rex had a bamd called TRES DIABLOS. Why do you think this wasnt released as TRE DIABLOS?? It is DIMEBAG DARRELL solo with a session drummer. PERIOD
Yeah treu! , And I love the fact he's on vocals 2 here! makes it someway heavy here , The combination of Vinnie Paul and Dimebag Darrel both singing here is SO AWSOME!!!!
Vinnie Paul does not perform on this song. It kinda surprises me so many people got this wrong. This was on a soundtrack, its all officially confirmed. This isnt some rare hidden track or something
if you ever watched dimevision and saw the old sets of him, you would know his voice is awesome (he did a helluva cover of seek and destroy). he also did some of the singing for rebel meets rebel on get outta my life.
"It's like 'pre-heat'. Ya know how you set it up to blow up? I'm already pre-blown, so I'm already hooked up. Does it make no sense? 'Course it don't. Dimebonics." -Absolute Fucking Legend Darrell Lance Abbott (real full name, not many know this)
Exactly. His vocals on Power Metal was absolutely amazing! He has such a massive talent. Yes, Cowboys in Hell is definitely the perfect mix. Best of both worlds.
Man... Dime never ceases to amaze me Man I wish they would have just kicked out Phil and made Pantera a Three Piece with Dime on vocals. I love Damageplan but this song blows away most of there stuff. RIP Dime He rocked like no other Getcha Pull
@Synyst3rg4t3, yes this is dimbag. It may have been done in the time of damage plan, but that's not even the sound of the lead singer. If you have seen any video or heard dimebag speak you'd be able to recognize his voice. But that is definitely dimebag.
This not the only and certainly was not the first song with dimbag on lead vocals. Pantera - PST 88 off of there Power Metal album. That was the official first ever Dimebag song.
And drink AS MUCH BEER AS YOU CAN TO HIS GREATNESS that will always flourish through each and every single guitar player to this day and many Milena to come. We all fucking love and miss you but know this. You will never ever be forgotten.
0:19 to 0:38...yeah!! perfect full swing windmilling.!! this is one of the most powerfull riffs i've ever listened to...thanks brother Dime to compose such a kickass song..R.I.P.. Dimebag..heroes never die..\m/
Google "RUclips to mp3" it should be the first link, just input the link to the youtube video and you can add this song to your list of music. I do it with live songs all the time
I hate how it was time for dime to leave us but he was a cowboy from hell and I guess it was time to go back and entertain Satan with his music!!! Getcha Pull Dime! 🤘
I downloaded this song from the internet before damageplan existed, my version says it was only made by damebag, guess it's some personal song or something. I noticed the vocals weren't much like phil so I wondered if someone confused this by other band, but guess not. still don't know how this got leaked to the internet in the late 90's.
The song is from a jackie chan movie supercop. It is dime singing. Don't know if it was recorded under the band name Tres Diablos with rex and vinnie but they are definitely in the credits too.
dude was my fucking idol. he had so much talent and his goal was to make his fans happy while having fun at the same time. he had a heart of goal and my lifelong dream was to meet him. everytime i hear cemetery gates it makes me wanna cry cause the dime didnt deserve what happened to him. he was nothing but a good hearted, talented musician dimes music altered so many lives for the better i'll always take my pull in life, the way that he lived his RIP Dime always missed, but never forgoton
@janiewoods510 How can you tell ? Yes I know we've all seen some interviews and such but do we know what happened behind closed doors ? If you watch VH1's behind the music; both party's state they tried to contact eachother and both stated that there was no response whatsoever..
@mashui99 Buddy you make no sense. I was simply correcting this guy. He's saying Phil only did CFH onwards when in fact they didn't Power Metal with Phil. I didn't say anything about why they changed or what made it happen.
You just know by the guitar tone who's in there...
damn right
Yo dimes voice was actually sick
Every time I hear this song I ask myself one question: Is there anything that Dime couldn't do??! I can just see him looking down being his humble self acting like we're crazy! Dime, your crazy ass is missed!
Yeah he couldn’t sing
He couldn't play drums as good as Vinnie.

I wish they would of released more of his stuff like this I'm sure there's a ton
@joshhellstorm184 this was just Dime. Nobody else from Pantera. In fact, Dime did the bass track as well.
Could've been frontman for pantera. then again, Phil kicks serious ass as frontman as well
Dimebag has sung whiplash live with Phil on guitar so I can believe this is dimebag singing
was at that, show had Jason newsted on bass all the tallica dudes was there too parting throwing beer to us in the pit
If only nathan gale was never born into this world then metal would have been better today.
Mart9511 Killswitch hell yeah! Dime might still be alive
Can we all just bury and never mention that name again?
Ya. Don't ever mention Nathan Gale.
That POS does not EVER need his name mentioned! Glad the cop was there to be judge, jury and executioner! and not tie it up in the BS court system costing normal people more money
Dime gave Metal all it needs to be great. Just gotta listen to him.
Honestly, the world lost a true legend thanks to a psychopath in Columbus, Ohio. Nobody could make a guitar sound like Dimebag! Everyone should drink some black-tooth grins to celebrate the legacy of this man!!!

Rest in peace Dime! rocking this out, few shots of whiskey and some beers!! 8 years to the day, we still feel your energy bud! \m/

Are you planning to upload the rest of the stuff you guys recorded sometime?
John Watson hey an you show me the link where they posted?
did you work on whiskey road? & its sort of hard to believe you when theres so many liars on the internet. Got proof?

The song is from DIMEBAG DARRELL as a solo artist with a session drummer that commented here
"It's like 'pre-heat'. Ya know how you set it up to blow up? I'm already pre-blown, so I'm already hooked up. Does it make no sense? 'Course it don't. Dimebonics."

I was wondering what it would be like with him on vocals, love this man! RIP
The last I heard was that they had the new album completed, all except the vocals, but this was around '05, '06. I haven't heard anything since.

Dime played on drop only in Damageplan. In pantera he olways played in D standard and quater down, E standard and quater down.
Such a good song and his vocals are great. RIP Dime!
