One last thing: For the record as most know Rich Eisen is a UM grad and he is a grade A broadcast journalist as is Bruce Feldman a well organized and informed college football journalist. So it's OK to take the shoe to Bruce over his wrong way prognostication of picking USC. It's the essence of why us adults adore watching 18-22 year old kids play their tails off every Saturday in the fall. Thanks Rich for your show and yes Bruce for your insight. Both great guys who let us blast Bruce on this site only in good fun.

backups gave up 15 at the end of the game. starters held arkst to 3 points with 3 bad turnovers from their now benched quarterback. it's arkst i know but there's more to the game than the box score
On penalties pretty much and poor decision on Warren getting picked off. Run the ball make some plays with his arm, take care of the football don't turn it over and no stupid penalties that would be costly

SEC fan here who enjoys watching Michigan play in the Big10. My guess as to what M will do this week is similar to what the Wolverines did to Penn State last year (I think)... which is line up and run the ball 50 times with an occasional play action pass. Orji as a starting QB1 will have to wear 2 hats (as QB1 and also RB) in an RPO that leverages Edwards as RB1 and Orji as an RPO RB. This plan (if used this week) would do couple of things: (1) Shortens the game by rushing the ball 50 times instead of passing offense, and (2) by rushing the ball, the USC offense with its talented QB/WRs will be on the sidelines watching helplessly. Now, that is a double-edged sword... Michigan must execute the plan on offense and its defense must play lights out because if USC offense is allowed to play and put up points, Michigan may not be able to stay competitive on the scoreboard by merely rushing the ball. It only works if Offense keep rushing the ball by keep doing long drives (8-11 plays in a row) and Defense shutting down USC on possession time. Can't wait to watch this game.
The plan also assumes SC won’t be able to stop the run. Lynn is a majestic defensive coordinator. He’s going to throw different stunts at him all game. I’d be very surprised if Michigan is successful running the ball 50 times.. heck they’re going to start off loading up the box and forcing him to throw.

That is why you have to sprinkle in some play action passes every now and then to keep the SC defense guessing and spread them out instead of being predictable by running continuously. Also, Edwards need to step up and hit the gap or go around the box like how B. Corum used to do by jump cutting around bodies.
if SCs high scoring offense goes up by at least 2 TDs , Michigan then has my permission to run the ball all day .

The only loss on the record is to the #1 team in the country and now they have a win against a ranked opponent that many expect to make the playoffs.
In case the page manager sees this, I would like Rich and Bruce to comment on college NIL players failed moves, like DJ and FSU, the Michigan QB among other programs that brought players that were not needed.
THIS should be an interesting game. This is not the great Mich team from last year, and it is not USC's defense from last year. They are like 2 different teams from a year ago.

Michigan sure approved Bruce Feldman to be totally wrong analyzing Michigan versus USC. One thing he said was that Michigan’s offensive line wasn’t nearly as good as last year and yet they stepped up against USC and proved they are coming together as a unit. A lot of people don’t understand that Michigan’s second team, both offense and defense many of those players would start at other schools. Michigan has always had recently the last two or three years great depth at most every position which made the competition for being a starter much greater. Sharone Moore and all of the coaches are pushing hard to maintain the culture that Michigan has had the last four years. I am amazed that many sports casters do not dig very deep and make thorough investigations before they make predictions. They don’t always take into consideration all of the factors involved and especially at Michigan where a winning culture exist’s and they will work very very hard to keep that momentum that has been built up to continue to grow. The old adage that if you think you can’t or if you think you can, you are right. Bruce failed to give Michigan coaches, players and culture of several years. Any consideration that they would find a way to turn things around and do it quickly. Recommendation, don’t underestimate the power of a extremely successful program. It’s very interesting when you listen to Bruce talking to Rich before the game compared to what he would be saying now that the game is over for the Michigan victory.

Feldman’s voice is very Dick Cavette-esque. Some here calling him a Michigan hater but I thought he has a balanced opinion. He’s critical of Michigan’s Dline but also giving a mediocre opinion of USC’s Oline which is surprising but it could be true. If that’s the case based on Miller Moss’s passing success he however must be one of the top 3 QBs in the Nation.
