The combination of the cam lope and the tone of the exhaust is one of the best I've ever heard. This car could be the poster child for how an American V8 should sound idling.
@@Jamboolio what mufflers are on the mustang? I’ve got a 1970 bronco and I’m going to put an exhaust system on it and would like to get the same sound as this mustang has, I’ve got a 302 V8 in the bronco with a manual 4 speed tranny
I cant belive pple get this car and make it into the match one and elonor. The sadest part of the video when they patch up the iconic taillights with sheet metal so sad
It sounds like there's a rock band under the hood. I love it. If it was mine I would be wanting red lights at every crossroads so I could hear it purr.
Wow what a beautiful beautiful thing. If money were no object I'd collect 1960's cars. British, American, Italian, French, doesn't matter an era that designed the best looking cars of anytime. This car would take pride of place for me. 😍
I had one of these way back in the 70's. I've kicked myself in the ass for over 30 years for getting rid of it. My wife couldn't drive a stick but she wouldn't leave the car alone. Should have gotten rid of the wife.(actually, I did but got rid of the car first. dumbass)
I had a 6 cylinder fastback. Nice wheels but not the performance obviously. Still a very fun car to drive. A drunk T boned it. Ended up in a salvage yard.
I love how theres absolutely no negative comments on this video... for the first time on a car video RUclips. Must be because it is so beautiful in every way!
Here's a sad story: I was just over 20 years old and looking to buy a car to drive to work. I knew someone who had a 1970 fastback for sale and I went to look at it. Original green paint, no rust but needed some TLC. No tears in the interior, all original everything. Original Cragar's with a bit of rust. 351 cleveland balanced and bluprinted with a Hurst short shifter. Only 3000 miles on the rebuilt engine. He wanted 3k for it. Instead I went and bought a.......95 Dodge Dakota. This isn't even the worst part. Because he couldn't drive it and had young kids and no time he just wanted it gone. He eventually sold it later for $1800. I'm the biggest idiot in the universe.
Not the only who regrets not getting a car. I could've traded my 87 fox body for a 73 short bed f100 straight up. The truck was pretty clean and was driven often. Only thing that got me was it was a straight 6 and me not having much mechanical experience at the time I didn't know how to swap an engine. Wish I would've got it
That has to be one of the most beautiful body styles ever. With that stance it looks as if it's about to lunge. It must be incredibly expensive to maintain the car outside the US. It sounds like a mechanical symphony.
God... you can't help being in love with the look, sound... that you wouldn't give the last 5 minutes of your life (now) just to drive it down an open highway.
Chicken Soup Yeah Finland is full of epic American muscle cars and classics, just check out the Muscle Car section on my channel and you'll see what I'm talking about, thanks!
If i own the lottery i would buy one of this ford mustangs, by the way i am portuguese, it is hard to find cars like this here, can you give me a european site where i can find this cars for sale restaured or not
Chicken Soup In Sweden we have Powermeet. 20 000+ american classics gather there every year. In a city called Västerås. I have been there a few times drinking beer and having fun. Nothing beats 15 chargers doing a burnout at the same time.
Psst... Hey, smart guy.... There was no such thing as a GT-390.... "The Mustang fastback gained popular culture status when used in the crime thriller Bullitt (1968). Lt. Frank Bullitt, played by actor Steve McQueen, drove a *modified* Highland Green 1968 Mustang GT fastback with 390 cu in (6.4 L) 4V engine, chasing two hitmen in a black 1968 Dodge Charger in the film's car chase through the streets of San Francisco."
Had a 67 S code fastback GT in 1976, I bought a 428CJ(and toplader) out of a 69 Fairlane Cobra for $150.With headers and header mufflers dumping out beneath me,that was a fearsome ride for a 19 year old.
I am a Chevrolet man, But there is no doubt in my mind I would love to have that Mustang. My 1st hot rod Was a 1964 Ford Galaxy 500, 390 police interceptor, Holman Moody Push robs and lifters 780CFM Holly carburetor Add 411 gears It was one bad son of a b****. I never had to rotate my tires because I burnt the backones off. One of the great loves of my life. Ford power Ford power🏁🏁🏁
Im sorry.... I own a 2004... and all I have to say is this... You can keep that, generation and all others after that, you can keep much of what came before mine. This ladies and gentleman is a REAL Mustang,
A Friend I work with had a Boss 429 in 1970. The stories he told of the car shaking all the windows in the house when his brother started the damn thing in the morning. Nothing could catch this Boss and Every thing you have ever heard about their Power is absolutely true. I MISS CHROME....!!!!

Puts all this modern shit to shame. Why not make cars look good again? Seriously? Is it that hard to make a car look good? It's all plastic/fiberglass nowadays anyway.
Safety regulations that have increased while mph speed have either stayed the same or decreased. 2017 safety and technology but compelled under threat of imprisonment to 1950's speed limits..... A can of shit if you ask me or anyone else with two synapses to rub together to light a cigarette.
this car is awesome!! Reminds death with a scythe on the road, even to paint it in the category Skeletal Horse, mmmm ....... But by itself it is just incredible!
I have a 390 V8 in my truck and while I like the sound, I like his mufflers more and I would like to know what he's running. I have the rumble but he has that nice mellow sound that I have been craving.
love it, absolute beauty! I own a #s '67 289 gta in the green white combo... also own a Ferrari 458, aston martin vantage, amg sclass plus more... but my little nephews run to the '67 first. The most iconic in my book
I’m 17 just getting into the car scene, non of my parents or family is really into cars, but I would like as much advice as possible such as good engines, etc. Tips?
I love these V-8's when idling, they sound so relaxing..
Kinda sounds like a big housecat purring, yes?
I GET GOOSEBUMBS just by listening to the sound of this beast..I wish I owned one now that I am in my early 20s...
The combination of the cam lope and the tone of the exhaust is one of the best I've ever heard.

Correction that’s a pony car
2jz sounds better
Marvellino Gracia Z I like the 2jz but that little Toyota will never sound as good as an old American v8
@@JimmyCasket02 yeah, but old American muscles will sound better if it have the forced induction engine
Marvellino Gracia Z nope n/a is the only way
Love how Finland is representing some good American Muscle :)
I am in my 50s, but upon watching this video, my inner 2-year-old took over and said, "I want one, and I want one right now!"

That sound sound is giving me some genuine gossebumps!

Jamboolio If I won the lottery this would be the first car I bought. Fact. Is this your car?
nfelvis68 Yeah this would be a perfect choice haha! Nope, not my car, just filmed it... and hopefully film some more of it this summer!

Well, i love you for your honesty & i think that's a greater asset than any 1968 Ford Mustang GT-390 Fastback. I hope you have a nice day :)
That is amazing. I can picture Steve McQueen behind the wheel. It's an awesome machine. This one's actually much better than the one in the movie.
honestly that would have to be the best v8 note i have heard in years..that way it pops and the timing is just poetry....usa at its best
