Hey Casey, I'm a big fan and handsurgeon - looks like you had a dislocation of your proximal pinky finger joint. To be sure it's not fractured I recommend an x-ray in the next days. You might brace / tape the fingers for up to a week. But the most important thing after this injury is to keep your pinky finger and joints in movement to avoid scarring and tightening of the joint ligaments. If you don't move it, you could end up with a stiff finger.

I have been watching Casey's Video since the begining. Like the first vlog he had up. Now this guy comes up with lots of advice about life and work and all sorts. But to me this Episode sums up the definition of life. IF you really pay attention to the bigger picture. Hes traveling.... he takes advantage of the time he has now, along the way he gets hurt, he mends it and doesnt let it stop him from his journey, he takes the risk and snaps it back in to place. and hes back on track on his path. That is what you call Life.

What do you listen to? Theres a lot of music I don't like but at least I can still respect it. Tho I enjoy anything from Chopin to EWAF to Tupac. Im a classically trained percussionist so I kind of understand what your saying as far as an lack of complex harmonic music. And its a shame that there is a serious lack of "real musicians" and instrumental music today. But there is still value in music that's not complex in harmony and structure. Also often complexities are in other places like sound choice, mixing etc...

This vlog is a prime example of why casey is the best vlogger out there. No other vlogger can tell a story like he can. I dont mean the candice story, but with the whole vid. And of course top notch editing skills and great eye for angles makes him top of the vloggers imo.

same for me in singapore... they do free day tours at the airport but i was 15 minutes too late for the tour because you had to be back one hour before departure and i would've been back 45 minutes before it. :(

Can occasionally have an associated fracture; good to hear you're seeing a doc in Finland. Injury has propensity to get incredibly stiff…good to see you keeping the joint moving on the train. And, massaging the digit like you were helps resolve the swelling (which in return leads to less stiffness).
I had that exact thing happen to me and there was a fracture so my instant thought was that i hoped he would leave it alone and get it seen to properly, but then I remembered this is Casey so of course he did the opposite

This made me a bit homesick. That bridge is on the Oudezijdsvoorburgwal. I used to live right around the corner from this bridge one canal over at the Oudezijdsachterburgwal 195. The local bar I used to go to almost every night when I studied at the university, "De Pieter", was in the Sint Pieterspoortsteeg. On my way home from the bar we used to piss of this bridge into the canal. At the time this was allowed by law in Amsterdam. I left almost exactly 40 years ago. San Francisco is home now.
