Hey Casey, I'm a big fan and handsurgeon - looks like you had a dislocation of your proximal pinky finger joint. To be sure it's not fractured I recommend an x-ray in the next days. You might brace / tape the fingers for up to a week. But the most important thing after this injury is to keep your pinky finger and joints in movement to avoid scarring and tightening of the joint ligaments. If you don't move it, you could end up with a stiff finger.

What do you listen to? Theres a lot of music I don't like but at least I can still respect it. Tho I enjoy anything from Chopin to EWAF to Tupac. Im a classically trained percussionist so I kind of understand what your saying as far as an lack of complex harmonic music. And its a shame that there is a serious lack of "real musicians" and instrumental music today. But there is still value in music that's not complex in harmony and structure. Also often complexities are in other places like sound choice, mixing etc...

I have been watching Casey's Video since the begining. Like the first vlog he had up. Now this guy comes up with lots of advice about life and work and all sorts. But to me this Episode sums up the definition of life. IF you really pay attention to the bigger picture. Hes traveling.... he takes advantage of the time he has now, along the way he gets hurt, he mends it and doesnt let it stop him from his journey, he takes the risk and snaps it back in to place. and hes back on track on his path. That is what you call Life.

This made me a bit homesick. That bridge is on the Oudezijdsvoorburgwal. I used to live right around the corner from this bridge one canal over at the Oudezijdsachterburgwal 195. The local bar I used to go to almost every night when I studied at the university, "De Pieter", was in the Sint Pieterspoortsteeg. On my way home from the bar we used to piss of this bridge into the canal. At the time this was allowed by law in Amsterdam. I left almost exactly 40 years ago. San Francisco is home now.

The reason why is pretty stupid as well, we only had one 1 night in Amsterdam and I wanted buy some weed but for some reason she was really uncomfortable with that idea. Well she wanted to get magic truffles to do that night and I insisted on getting weed as well (not even for her to do, just me by myself) even if timing wasn't good to do truffles and weed that night but I said I would do it the following morning instead. She said that because I wanted to smoke weed when timing wasn't good it showed her how "immature and childish" I was and that she felt genuinely uncomfortable having me as a travel partner for the rest of Europe so she dumped me when we got back to the hotel room. How does weed make her uncomfortable but yet it was her idea to buy and eat magic truffles and that was perfectly fine with her? It's almost ironic. The hell I'm in Amsterdam for one night it was on my bucket list! (Also, never take magic truffles with your ex 10 minutes after getting dumped in Amsterdam with your now ex sitting 5 feet from you)
Anyways guys if you want I actually have a short 3 minute backpacking video on my channel and you can actually see her and me in Amsterdam for a bit, it's all about "living life to the fullest." Needless to say I backpacked Europe by myself afterwards and had an insane time.
