This is something i've been thinking about, when riding in normal speed and moderate turning i can't really tell the difference. If turning it might help you with higher center of gravity, momentum. The same momentum could be a resistance when flicking up the bike again for a quick turn in the other direction. With this said i think that 90% of riders or situations, this is not something you think of exept from raising the bike from centerstand 😂. There is the bikes geometry as well to consider, this i probably more noticeable between bikes. Narrow or wide rims? that also makes difference in how a bike behaves with their tires when pushing at gravel or dirt roads. There is something with the T7 that makes it easier to ride than many bikes. The 790/890 feels that you need to be more active on, go figure. But when You ride it actively it pays you back in a great performing bike. Maybe one too many small coffee! Great review!
😂🙌, I missed my little thermos out there! A wonderful spot to just enjoy a coffee and chill under a tree ☕️🤌🏻 Thanks 🙏
Hard to go down in power. It's a workhorse machine. I'd like to have the Raid model twin tank. TS's. But they need suspension and wheel wirk. The BMW and KTM can be riden off RTW travel. Good vid
I think they ave done a good job on the KYB suspenion, this is how the T7 should have come from start ☝️😁, Agree on the power, power is fun. This bike has all the power needed for trailriding though. It is easier to lift the front on the 890R though and that is handy now and then. Thanks Sam and cheers!
@@Braapncamp Have you or friends tried Mosko Moto Boundry Pants/jacket. Premium priced and spec ed gear?
A friend very close have a set comming in and will definitley give his thoughts on the Boundary. It will be very interesting to watch his thoughts! I'm done with "all in one gear" so i'm happy for now with the superb layering line-up of Mosko gear. Mosko have so much cool gear though, very purpose made.
@@Braapncamp yes they seem to be on the forfront of inivation. That set has full protection built in, the best as well
Another important point is that the T7 is approx $5k less than your KTM ! (Hurts I know, I'm riding a Husq.901 Exp.)
vroom-vroom ! 🙂 Horses per kg. I'm happy
Thanks! Thats an important note. A lot of bang for the bucks! Then the farkles begins 👀😂
@@Braapncamp Please forgive me, but I don't know what a farkle is ?
Haha, all the extras, especially the once You may not need but want 😂
@@Braapncamp All the bikes I've owned never had so much computer interference. Honest, just a throttle, some gears & breaks was always perfectly fine. I'm quite capable of knowing the limits of slip front & rear. ABS is good for wet roads, could do w/out in the dirt. Working on my wheelies w/out scratching the paint. Only Farkles are stuff I actually do need, new helmet, better rain gear, GPS etc..(In time) ✌
@@YABBAHEY1 Haha, me neither prefere to gear up a bike that ends up looking like a christmas tree... 👀🤣 thats not cool and not practical.
I'll keep my 890R. It's amazing
It truly is! 💪✊️✊️ it is very difficult to get impressed by other bikes in the class if riding an 890R.
👍👍
🙏
My dream bike. I fear it is too much for me.
No, this is a smooth bike to ride! Very forgiving 😁👍
This is a nice bike. But there's no dedicated support for a Trangia. So...not a good bike for Mattias.
P.S. @21:32 Only you could have done such thing on a RUclips video lol
Hahaaa! I saw goldfishes thru my eyes speeking with You guys for such a long time. Thought the ADV family here would like to join for a revealing pee 😂🙌. Regarding Trangia stoves, my Mini fits like a glove in the cool day ride Luggage i fitted to the bike. That will happen with my own bike, pack it up minimal for some forest and outdoor combined rides. 💪🤠🔥✊️✊️
@@Braapncamp I hope that you'll never face the situation one day where you'll have to chose between keeping the KTM or the Trangia only. This would be a VERY difficult decision for you ;)
No more braap & camp then.... With my stash of Trangias and outdoor gear that seems to be the least worrying of the two. To feed a beast like the Katie, thats another story 😂✊🏻, i hope too i never have to choose, until the day i can't ride anymore 🙏
@@Braapncamp There's a solution for the "days when I can't ride anymore". It's called a sidecar. Imagine! you'd be the very first guy with a 890R with a sidecar! :D
The standard tenere only came to Japan 4 years after Europe. No other tenere ever came to Japan. So here we have yet another Yamaha not sold to Japan…..
Thats wierd 👀, what does the market generally look like for ADV bikes in Japan?
@@Braapncamp similar to Europe. I was told the reason has something to do with Yamaha global not liking the quality control of Yamaha France. So they made a Japanese factory for the tenere that goes to none eu none common wealth nation. I guess we won’t see the other t7’s if they don’t make another assembly line here, but in the mean time, Honda Transalp seems to be eating the t7’s lunch. And I plan to get a Transalp. I say that as a former Yamaha Tokyo employee.
Would be cool if the Transalp also come in a "Enduro-version", the one available is a tad soft.
with this at least u finish travel without problem, KTM I am not sure..
But 1290 R 🤩🤩 actually I like
Haha, You never know! Neither my 790R or my 890R have left me stranded.
@@Braapncamp coz you riding around tour mama house 🤭😂
😂👌😜
😂 you an a unicorn , at least it fore me the best ADV bike.
i have a 2019 version an i wouldn't give it away for anything else.
no problems ans you can do al the meantime your self.
Hmmm, never thought of it as a unicorn 👀😁. Thats the best parts of unicorns, those are in the eyes of the beholder ☝️😁
😱 205 kilograms... That's more like a Husbil on two wheels. 😇😁
😂 there is something in that, a PR7 is probably more in the right direction... 😁👍
Sadly, N/A in America!
What a bummer, why is that? Hard to see a good reason. Homologation should not be the problem? Not market either?
