Kate is by far the best since Hader she can carry every sketch with her outright comedic talent. The lady just exists as comedy absolutely one of the best to ever play the game😊
She cracks me up even sitting there doing nothing but smiling.

I have never seen Seth lean so far in when talking with a guest. You can tell he’s enamored with Kate, and who can blame him?! 🥰❤️

You can tell she's super psyched to be the host, to be back at 30 Rock, to see her old mates. Kate's got a heart of gold! Even though it's only been a couple of years, and only for one show, it's going to be AWESOME to have KATE BACK! 🎉🎄

I'd never heard of her until I saw her episode of Seinfeld's coffee show. Wasn't watching SNL at that time. Once I saw her work on SNL it all made sense. She's the real fucking deal.

I played with my older sister's barbies, so she cut the hair off mine. All my barbies were Weird Barbie for a while until our mom found out. Then I was Weird Barbie when my sister said she knew how to cut hair... Being the youngest suuucked!

You can tell Seth has no sisters, because he had to have weird Barbie explained to him. If you have ever played with one, you know immediately what they mean by weird Barbie. I am lucky in that my next oldest sister never tried to cut my hair, because she had learning challenges and coordination problems. It would have been an even bigger mess than yours probably was!

@@LindaC616 Boy dolls are called _action figures,_ and I wish the Barbie movie woulda addressed that. I got to an age at which point playing with dolls among friends became awkward, and we used a few already damaged barbies to make our own Weird Barbie dolls. I remember one of them had a bad nail polish remover accident.

@@LindaC616 🤣 They are dolls. Toy companies know this. I have a cousin who got a whupping when we were kids because I let him play with my Barbie car and gave him a Ken doll to drive it. Pink car didn't go over so well with his alpha dad, so I can understand why some men may be sensitive about that even nowadays. But my cousin had ALL the Star Wars action figures, complete with the other toys like the planet Hoth play set, the Millennium Falcon, etc, etc, just like I had Barbie's dream house, and her pool, and so on. Same thing, right?

There's a specific type of comedian that is perfect for SNL which is the Will Ferrell, Bill Hader and Kate McKinnon type, where they have balanced the physical aspect and the delivery perfectly to the point where they never miss
SNL is literally not the same without Kate.
That "Oh my God, no! Kate! No!" was so real and heartfelt from Seth, you would think he was watching her reach for a sword and drive it into her own chest. 😂 So much fear for her safety!

There have got to be at least a couple people out there who now have tattoos modeled after Weird Barbie's marker scribbles. I don't tend to assume information about people based on their tattoos alone, but if I saw that tattoo pattern on someone, I'd instantly assume that they're awesome.

Most pharmaceuticals use salt or a salt compound as a filler. If you take any pill, dry mouth tends to be a side effect.

It's really, really dumb to barf in the tub? I know they're students, but can't they explain to people during the orientation 'puke outside on dirt/grass, or in a toilet, or if you're incredibly desperate the garbage, do NOT puke in a sink or bathtub!', they know they're going to drink stupidly because our society doesn't believe in educating people about how to manage alcohol use (until it's mostly too late).
I did some old timey lumberjack workouts in our tiny forest, we had lots of dead white ash trees, so there was tons to do. Not many things are as badass as chopping down a huge hardwood with a sword that looks like it's from an anime!
Seriously, it doesn't even take alcohol use to learn that. Even puking as a kid with a stomach bug I knew to puke in the toilet or the trash, not the sink. I never even CONSIDERED the tub. Who does that???
This entire interview was incredibly awkward for me to watch when it first aired.
Kate was apparently unwilling to talk much about her upcoming debut hosting gig. Practically every time Seth brought up anything related to it, she diverted the subject to some bizarre joke because she can never be serious and always has to be “on.”
Was it because of the elephant in the room that was “SNL” receiving utter backlash for last weekend’s cold open?
The whole point of Kate being interviewed was to promote “SNL.” I’m not sure if they even talked about the show for more than 15 seconds.
Her giant water bottle and talk of living in the woods were definitely distractions and time-wasters.

The beginning of the downfall of SNL started with her playing Hallelujah and making SNL a leftist propaganda machine. So the show should end with her returning. Karma.
Hate to break it to you, but I have never seen a Barbie with elbow joints. Still have my 59yo in my china cabinet in a red velvet formal gown with a 'mink' stole. Just found Midge this past week. She needs a trip to the hairdresser and something to wear.... 🤣🤣🤣❣ Kate doesn't look well... Check out the dark circles under her eyes :(
Some Barbies have had elbow joints for more than a decade now. I had a few growing up and I’m 25 now. It’s typically reserved for the yoga teachers, gymnasts, and the pediatricians and such. If you watch her scenes in the Barbie Movie, you’ll see it makes perfect sense for them to have used it for this character.
