Good video Brian.
Thanks 👍
Thank you for a great and informative video! Cheers from Canada👍🏻🇨🇦
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@Britec09 Love all your videos.🥰
Love the videos! If you manually delete the items in the recent folder does that remove the files or are they just the pointer/link to the actual files?
You can easily disable file history with just a few policy edits.
That is correct
Please make a video on how to get back Network Adapters. It seems after the recent Windows 11 updates, they have removed the ability to view the network adapters like we used to.
Nice one Brian however I don't have two radio buttons in my Settings/Privacy and security - the one that send stuff back to Microsoft is missing so what do I do?
This information is as good as Gold 😉👍❤💯%!
Glad you think so!
Is there is a 3rd Party clean-up tool that can be scheduled to delete the 'Recent Files' folder that MS looks at? Or batch Regedit file that changes the reg' too for policy changes on this ....?
Hi. I can't find the option to turn off "send my activity history to Microsoft" on either my Windows 10 or 11 PCs.
Hello Britec! I'd like you create tutorial about blocking virus infection Dear
Thanks for your good Tutorials
Hi, Brian. I turned off 'Recent Items', right after I finished installing Windows. Just to be safe, I checked the folder and it was indeed empty. So, no worries there.
Good tip!
Or you can go into folder options > privacy > untick all 3 checkboxes and clear file history. Recent Items will now stay empty.
Please suggest a way to check if someone is remotely spying my computer.
Will do
Thx
No problem
great thank you
You are welcome!
What God given right, does Microsoft have, to know what files one has opened on their own computer? Trunky sods.
Windows 10, or 11 only?
Why does "EVERYTHING" you do on "your computer" have to be sent back to Microsoft? What are they doing with it besides being nosey?
I found a way to disable ads on RUclips. For free.
This why I use LINUX
You can still recover your traces on Linux
I really wish Linux were more mainstream and focused.
Microsoft really is a monopoly. Sure I suppose a company or say a school system has the option to choose Mac or Windows. But Mac is out of their damn minds the price tag compared to a non - Mac. $6-700 for a mid ish intel laptop or literally $6-7k for the equivalent or less specked Mac.
And Linux is fine for those into playing with the base code and command prompts of a computer at home but not anywhere near being a replacement commercially to the monopoly and the mani-Macs.
Linux is to PCs what Android is to mobile crapware. For Linux to be taken seriously they need to be universally user friendly. I’m on of 2 people I know that have the ability to use Linux. But I’m also the tech guru in my family and friends.
And even for me , I just want to use a PC not fiddle around with it. Hell, just choosing a distro in Linux is just too overwhelming with all its iterations.
How many are there now? I think Android has over 50 different versions each custom to a specific device.
You can’t run a hospital and have 75 different operating systems and teach the employees all the tricks and commands needed to communicate with everyone.
We really need something to bring micro$soft and big daddy Mac down to earth and equal out the playing field.
No matter what Microsoft does to windows and its users, we’re going to sit there a take it like mom and her wooden spoon.
Eventually AI will just collect everything from the internet and from that tell us what we need to know.
Like learning the world’s history from Facebook databases.
Thank god I will be outta here for that joy ride.
Linux is only good for light users.
