Enjoy your posts I quit high school and bought a 36ft Hatteras and chartered out of waukegan for 14yrs but I'm a musky fisherman I don't catch and release I mean it's world record or nothing I keep one a yr they are delicious ,but I love fishing a small river private property but channel cats are loaded. They are excellent eating in there because it's fresh spring water and they feed on minnows and crayfish ,I ckd there stomachs years ago taste like walleye but my youngest son is finishing college instead of taking my boat I'll give you a shout and take him just for a slob, I'll send pics you'd be blown away by catches chartering and musky I guided for free keep up the great content I'll give you a call!

What kind of places do you usually target at night? Little lighter current spots?
I definitely seek out lighter current but I also tend to fish shallower for the first portion after dark. And then if no dice, I move deep.
