Love the videos as always. I believe if you don't fall at least once, you're not fishing! Lol

What bait did the gar eat? I have a river near me in canada that has long nose gar and channel cats that I dream about figuring out.

Loved it, buffs are always pole benders. Where I live, I fish for flatheads but mainly catch gar, longnose gar like what you caught. I love the fight, not much on eating them and I have eaten them. One of my wife's first big fish years ago was a 12 pound gar, still have the pic of her in a bikini holding it LOL. She hates them other than the fight. Was surprised that you didn't catch a carp, just a timing thing. I love catching anything that will bend the pole, even the littlest of fish on a super lightweight fly rod. Fun is fun and you manage to have the fun.

Thanks for watching! Yes sir, having fun is what it's about! 12lbs is a sizable Gar. I've eaten them and I agree, they're ok

Man, Austin, you were running like someone was asking for your fishing spots! Would you ever consider doing a gar catch, clean, and cook? You might have to learn some new ways to clean a fish, but I bet that if you did one, it would be among your highest-viewed videos. Just a thought!

Give a man a fish and feed him for a day,.. teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime.😊
