Zhang is almost a Cinderella story but without so many losses. More like people underestimating him because nobody has seen a heavyweight Chinese dude with a massive punch. I give him crazy props. 41 years old and killing it.

Nahh…Zhilei is just one of the few who’s nice because he has spent a good amount of time living and training outside of China. This I believe led him to become more grounded and less crude compared to mainland Chinese.

Zhang is a naturally big thick set dude. If his stamina is on point he could take out anyone.
He's too old, and didn't take good care of his body when he was younger. Now he has organ problems, like when he went through kidney failure back in '21.
He's 41. Doubt he's stamina is getting any better. In the old days, he would retired already.
He'd be fine if he lost the weight. Drop to 270lbs and he'll do great but...father time is ticking. He needs to beat GayJay now

@edntz It's not "for some reason" he's old, and has been going through health/weight cutting problems. In 2021 he went through kidney failure after his fight Forrest. Basically, his body isn't holding up like it used to, and he's unfortunately in the twilight of his career.

That counter was flawless. Wilder was loading that right hand not knowing Zhang was waiting with the counter hook. Zhang could be a major problem if he is a little younger and have a better engine.

I like Zhang a good solid fighter, humble and respectful willing to take on anyone, that's what boxing needs and deserves.
I don't think he can beat AJ, If he can it would be his solid determination coming forward and catching Joshua with a shot like Ruiz did, I just think Joshua will be too sharp for him, a points win for AJ, possible stoppage.

Zhilei Zhang can only win fights by stopping his opponent. As evident before in Joseph Parker, Filip Hrgovic, Jerry Forrest fights, the decision will never go to his corner
Zhang is a gifted and clever boxer, he sensibly didn’t give Wilder much room and time to unleash the full power of his legendary right hand. But he has to be careful with calling out Joshua. The man now has experience, speed, clever setup strategies and KO power under new coach Ben Davidson to trouble Zhang. The 2 fight Usyk losses was a lesson learned against the best heavyweight and southpaw in 30 years. Zhang is an excellent and patient southpaw, but will bring little that’s totally new to Joshua’s table except an Asian face.

Wilder's biggest mistake is fighting top 10 contenders after a year off prior to losing atrilogy and winning against a journey man, he was not ready and now he has to retire too soon
