That's true. After his fights, he gives it to his dad and Frank Warren he never mentions Don Charles
Yeah I have noticed the same, always talks of his Father which is nice but he needs to show appreciation to Don and his team.....

Don is a breath of fresh air, a clear father figure to DDD. You can see his confidence growing under the limelight, his ability has never been in question. Take my hat off to both of them ❤️

A truly lovely man. Deserves all the success that comes his way. I was in a minority to pick Dubois. There were red flags in the build up to Hrgovic’s confidence which as it turned out, were built on foundations of sand.
Don is very grounded. Nice Fella and he deserves the best.

Gotta love Don Charles, anyone involved in boxing and students of the sport, know what he brings. Top man and humble as they come
EVERYONE write off Dubois and to be really honest Hrgovic looked the same as he usually does, that was a clinical finish, you CANNOT say it was an easy night, FairPlay to Daniel very happy for him.
AND Shane McGuigan must be bugged, someone he trained and should beleive in and still writ him off. Do not rate that at all!

I was so happy to see Daniel get the win especially after the first few rounds.
In rounds 1 and 2 it looked as if hed never seen a straight right before but to come through that and win how he did was magic.
Don Charles has given Dubois so much confidence and rebuilt him so well after Usyk defeat, Dubois needs to leave daddy at home

Ive always rated dubois and said he will be a world champion, people forget he was just a kid a few years back, most people in their young 20s are about 10 stone sitting in their mums room smoking green.
Don Charles showed his true colours when he lost to Usyk. You dont question someones faith because you lost a boxing match. Hes a cry baby and an all round horrible bloke

I totally agree with you BKM it is nice to see Don Charles being given the opportunity. However there are a lot of coaches whom have the experience just like Don but never get the opportunity to show case their experience and skills. Don is very appreciative though I have heard him may times mentions Derek Chrisora given him the opportunity which is nice. He does come across as a very humble; honest type of guy. However he has told you in the past BKM that he is building layers to developing Daniel and when you asked him what has he improved the most with Daniel as a boxer and he said DEFENCE ? From what we have seen from the fight against Hrgovic this was not the case. Daniel was getting hit too many rights and taking too much punishment. He says that he is building Daniel's boxing style to Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield. The Peek a Boo style which Mike Tyson employed had the defence which Cus Damato called Science of Head Motion. My coach and mentor Tom Patti has told me that 99.9% of boxing coaches do not know it exist; do not know how it works and definitely cannot teach it. So I am assuming that when Don is talking about Daniel working towards Mike Tyson's fighting style its not his defence but combination and his power punches and maybe Holyfield's defence ? Every fighter is work in progress. Love to see how this works out. If the fight against AJ materializes we will see Ben Davison experience against Don Charles experience and whom prevails however I am aware that the outcome of the fight is based on which of their fighters perform on the night.
I liked Daniel's in and out movement. Very good defensive skills. I am sure Don, will tighten up the other side of his defence- shipped too many right hands.
But credit to Dubois he pressed hrgovic and sliced him up and stopped him in 8 gruelling rounds.
Good defence he got hit about 16 times on the head first 2 rounds

Don might be a very good trainer and probably is the reason behind Dubois recent performances, but he surely did no good for anyone and himself after the Usyk fight. As a trainer, it is rather criminal to be disshonest to your own fighter. Crying about low blows being legitimate shots. Just tell your fighter you lost to the better man - who by the way is the Undisputed champ now. As a young ambitious fighter you dont need a trainer telling you that you won a fight which you actually lost.
Again, you lost to arguably one of the best boxers of all time. You dont need excuses, you need to be proud.
As for the fight last night, gz to Dubois but Hrgovic did not really make it challenging for him. People are quick to think he is ready for Joshua after beating dinosaur Miller and an out of shape Hrgovic.
