Hearing words she gave in interviews, I know in spite of his attractiveness, he was interested in the real man, the personality, and the spiritual side of him. Kathy was the same age as Prissy but, other than that, there simply was no comparison, in my opinion. Kathy had so much more "depth" to herself than Prissy. Kathy could relate to Elvis on a more "substantive" level and, well, Prissy just had a "pretty face." [As Trump once said, after the initial attraction, you got to be able to talk to your partner (paraphrased)]
Prissy was a very "jealous" person, which she revealed as early as 1962, which I find interesting and, further, she had no problem revealing this side of herself to Elvis.
Kathy's book seems to be a well-written book. The thing with all of these books are how their conversations, which took place years earlier, can be remembered verbatim. In the case of "Elvis & Me," Prissy's quoted recollections date back as far as 15 years. Hmmm???

@@MartaArroyoHerrero Sorry, I don't know if this is a question or a criticism. I really didn't address your response in my original comment. I agree, that Elvis and Prissy were leading separate lives probably since about 1969, imo. Whether they both discussed and agreed upon those terms, I don't know. In his mind though, that's how he viewed things and that's what he relayed to Kathy.
Now, if you're referring to my comment about people remembering exact quotes 10-15 years later, I still stand by that. Sometimes they do, but there tends to be a lot of quotes in these books.

So true - especially regarding the picture that is going to be the cover of Lisa's book. It's in Elvis and Me and even in Sofia Coppola's movie that Lisa Marie was affraid, she wanted to stay with her nanny, rather than taking pictures with her mother.
In fact, the book cover is Lisa and Elvis (and PB's hand). At the time, all we got were promo pictures.

"And when Elvis entered the room, he completely took it over. It wasn't that he meant to but he had such a magnetic personality, so much charisma, he simply became the center of the space he occupied." Charm is decidful n beauty is vain o.t. ,elvis had it n to much but all he needed was to only stay in the Bible n I believe he was only called to be a praise leader...he's a mystery...it was said when his mama passed he was never the same, he had his happy times but he was a very sad person lonely...he kept it hide 😢...I'd be to afraid to meet him...I'm a nobody n Virgin when I married, I made my mind up about that at 13 yrs old seems 4 or 5, I started liking males...Jerry was in his 20s very good looking n dating a fam member etc...I think it would be better to be a fam member with elvis...never girlfriend or wife...he wasn't the marring kind, very unfaithful n he never wanted to marry!!!!!!! To many wanted to be with him n marry him crazy...does patsy cline sing that if so maybe she'd been around elvis ...what if Jesse had of lived...mercy 😄😆❤❤...not my phone can't afford one she let's me use her phone 🙂

The fact he treated everyone so well and respectfully were enough. He didn't want to marry. If he lacked morals, PB lacked them doubly. Why marry him after living with him so long if he was so awful?

The women he cared about the most were the ones you heard from the least and I firmly believe their stories have never seen the light of day. Two days before he died he told stepbrother Billy Stanley he had only been in love twice and that Billy would never be able to guess who. Billy knew Priscilla, Linda, and Ginger, so draw your own conclusions. Some interesting things happened to Kathy after he died which indicate a deeper spiritual connection between them and I believe he pre-arranged for the Shelby County sheriff to deputize Kathy on his birthday in 1978, something he did not do for any other girlfriend. I don’t know anything about her wacko side but I do know she suffered severe injuries from an auto accident and chronic pain can be quite debilitating. Elvis himself exhibited many bizarre behaviors that, in retrospect, were probably a result of the TBI he suffered in 1967. He’d had a number of head injuries throughout his life and those can have a cumulative effect. For instance, his bursts of anger and crazy spending habits could be attributed to that. By her own admission, Priscilla was just as mystified by Elvis’s complexity as the rest of his entourage, so it’s a stretch to say she understood him better. They lived separate lives for much of the time they were together.

I think any of them knew him deeper than Priscilla after his initial fascination with her . Most women talked to him about spiritual things Priscilla hated it just like Tom Parker did
