Rebild national park society have the largest celebration of the 4h of July outside the US. It started in 1912 as a way to celebrate how the Americans accepted 300.000 danish immigrants. It takes place in Rebild bakker every year. It could be interesting to see if they do it properly from the American point of view

I spent my most boring July 4 in Blanding, Utah back in 2006. Everything was closed and absolutely nothing happened. In 2016 I was in Bpwling Green, Ky. The streets downtown were completely empty (at least between 8 and 9 pm). We actually walked around for 60 minutes without meeting a single soul.
My fathers family is actually form Bowling Green, KY. While I’ve never been there for the 4th, my guess is all the activity was away from the old downtown area. Fewer things go on in that part of BG now a days. I’d think there would have been something going on at the minor league baseball stadium or the WKU campus. Alternately, folks probably do at lot at home. We would lite fireworks at my grandparents house in the summers, which was more in the country and away from the downtown.

The American Pie Company's Key Lime Pie really annoyed me because I was looking forward to a key lime pie and it was just a lime pie. Really shouldn't call something it isn't especially when variety matters as much
I cant speak for American Pie Company because I dont know their recipe BUT in all fairness even in the US, Key Lime Pie is rarely made from actual key limes. They are incredibly difficult to find outside of FL because they dont transport well. Most people just substitute limes and call it Key Lime because they dont have access to them. Key Lime Pie has really just become the catch all name for lime pie regardless of what kind of limes you use.
@@TravelinYoung so can only speak for where I lived or had family in the States which is Ohio, Maine, Oregon, Texas, Missouri and Florida but my experience has been that when places said key lime it was actually key lime otherwise they just said lime. Was always one of the advertising points. Also, you can taste the difference between the key lime (Mexican) and persian lime. The key lime is less acidic so less sour but have a more powerful lime floral taste. It's like saying that a concord grape is the same as a red globe grape for grape jelly.

We did yes! We are planning to go to Jutland later in the summer, so a trip on the 4th didn’t work out. We will go one year for sure!

Fireworks are at 22, I think because of it being a Sunday. Let's hope the weather holds :).

I think that the Lancashire region in England makes the best pies around the Leyland area. I would like to compare them with this.
