- Many opponents to electric vehicles claim they have no personality, but the Mercedes-AMG EQE 53 SUV does. Actually, it has two personalities at the push of a button: placid and angry!
Two electric motors drive this beast, with a total power output of 460 kW and 950 Nm, giving it a 0-100 time of 3.7 seconds (or does it? Watch the video to find out!). But by turning the knob on the steering wheel, this car goes from 'death metal' to deathly quiet, softening the suspension, becoming one of the most comfortable vehicles you can buy today.

As much as you think it’s not good looking I’ve had many many comments in the very short time I’ve owned mine. I have a family in my neighborhood that has the nicest cars money can buy and the first time they saw me pass in my new AMG EQE SUV their necks all about broke off when I passed them walking their dogs as a family. Multiple neighbors men and women have said - I love your new car. So I didn’t buy it for the looks, but it gets compliments daily for that exact thing - go figure. 🤷🏻♂️

The design can be divisive and I'm not a fan, except for the EQE sedan in red. The sales numbers speak for themselves and are better for EQE and EQS than the Model S or Model X last year and this year in our market.
For that price you could get 2 I4's or a 3 series... which look amazing by comparison
Hey, great video. Try and keep the screen pop ups to just a few. Too many in this video, the pop sound is not needed. It felt very fast paced, a bit too rushed. Just an idea, do the pros and cons from outside the car, let us concentrate on the car whilst it's being driven and concentrate on you when you're giving genuine advice.
I'm clearly out of touch regarding good design. So is Mercedes. 😂
Mercedes' FSD is utter garbage. There is a 20 min video on this platform comparing it with Tesla. In the Merc, the driver had to intervene 44 times in 20 mins vs ZERO interventions in the Tesla.

I have one. Didn't buy, just leased. In the US, there are like $30K in incentives that brings the price way down.
My first EV. I love it. Don't think I'll ever go back. Trust me, I was one of those who said it's just too early to get an EV. But, and it's a big "but," if you have access to garage charging at home or perhaps charging at your workplace, then going EV is great. Very fast. Great quality. The styling takes a bit to get used to. I do get that. Overall, a tremendous EV.
Agree completely on the exterior looks, terrible new direction Mercedes is going with this. I do generally have a dislike for these stupid sized vehicles but some of the design cues on this car are questionable.

Don't know if it'll turn heads. Like most modern Mercs it's a very forgettable design. Kinda blends into the background by looking like a generic Nissan. The other German brands have a much more distinctive style, not always good, but at least memorable.

pretty sure Mercedes AMG has never been, and will never, be a 'peoples' car. It's a niche brand where people pay for the brand. Like Farro vs Pak N Save.

The BMW iX is a better car. The build quality on the EQC is awful, the squeak and rattle within a few thousand km of ownership. The sound system is the best part of the entire vehicle.
