Hellblade should have just been a one off or if they must make it a franchise at least make it an anthology series with standalone stories in each game because Senua's story was done for.
Their mistake was making it into a Saga cuz Senua's story was complete in the first one and they should've left it there

It's a pity for me to see the negativity around Hellblade 2.
I had a truly amazing, emotional and heartfelt experience with the game, which makes me think about it still very often.
I see Senua as someone who overcame her own struggles and even though she is still fighting them and now is able to make the world a better place.
That's my interpretation of the game.
And the acting was outstanding in this game as well.

Yeah exactly, I honestly feel like it was still a really good game.
I think Hellblade 2 has a really hard challange with having such a dramatic and captivating story cause in Hellblade 1 Senua suffers much MUCH more, but this Hellblade 2 is focused on actually healing and moving on, I think it portrays mental issues well and it is nice to have a continuation while other games just kinda stops there with the big finale and let the main character walk away after one scene of peace but life is often not that simple.
That being sad, I do understand a lot of criticism the puzzles were more fun in the previous game, also the fighting with bosses was, I think they were trying to take the focus away from fighting also to show the more peaceful ways that Senua lives now, but the gimmicks that they replaced the bossfights with just didn't do it for me.
But overall I still enjoyed the game for what it was and I do love it even with all it's flaws and it mean a lot to me as well. 💜

ranton you do realize your playing as a schizo character, so listening to the annoying voices is kind of part of the experience.
Everyone knows this, not an excuse to make a game that annoys the player. They couldn't strike the right balance.
first, auditory hallucinations concern 70 to 80% of people with schizophrenia, and even then, it's not just 1 voice telling you what to do, it's a entire variety of noises and voices
schizophrenia isn't the same as an endless echo filter.
Only game thats did multiple schizo voices well was an old deadpool game! The rest is fake cheap bs

first game was great played on dxm and fought actual irl demons. 2 is not terrible just yeah not great. I think its like, the first game was marketed almost as a tech demo so the lowered bar made it surprisingly good to play. this one is marketing itself completely as a game and feels like an unreal tech showcase.

One thing about combat. Heavy vs light actually matters. Its better to spam heavy against some enemies since they will block it and get their "posture" reduced. Enough heavies and they will open up for attacks. Some enemies dodge a lot, others just take hits and etc. There is some meaningful variety.
I actually thought the same until I tried only spamming heavy. It worked 🤷🏻
