Great vid on this Dean, love the outcome of the jungle hunter, looks awesome! Btw, how do you clean the dreadlocks on the predator figures? I noticed some little white/grey specs of possibly dust stuck on it. Thanks
Been waiting for this one... 10/10 I have the Classic and I may be able to answer a few questions, the thigh armor is stuck with pegs, that's what it looks like to me. And the greaves are sculpted, no way to remove them And the netting on the left arm is shorter because that forearm is not original to that body, the Classic has a light up feature on his wrist computer so its all one piece, not removable. And one thing I'd like to add, the head of the original JH is slightly smaller than Classic and that helps for the overall look of this, pretty good One last thing, I am one of those who think the Classic is vastly superior in every way 😂 especially armor detail, it actually is more accurate to the JH than the predator its supposed to represent. I took a good look at all the behind the scenes footage and pictures and the old JH doesn't hold up too well, though its still good. This was a major improvement, the innacurate sculpt for mask is the only thing that could be way better, the shape is just not right. The "tooth" thing is the other innacuracy, the transparent effect is wrong, look at the pictures there isn't a single predator in any movie that has transparent teeth. They're more like tusks, solid white
Yep the classic is far superior in all ways to the original JH. Best bet is to repaint the face to make it more Jungle hunter along with adding quils to the head/body. Then converting the classic to JH using custom kits/parts
I basically had my classic predator made up like the jungle Hunter. The only thing I put from the jungle Hunter was the trophies and the straps around the arms. Everything else was fine with me. I had both predators. Classic definitely has better dreads.
it looks great overall, I prefer the original Jungle armor because it looks older, and dirtier than the Classic. the shoulder canon also seems more accurate. I also prefer the head of the Jungle, the only problem are the dreadlocks, a bit short. for me this Classic can make a perfect Jungle, apart from the color of the body, the best work I have seen on it is Danoscustoms,
Ive never heard an English person hit such a perfect hillbilly/country accent before, that shit fucking killed me lmaoo. "I sure as fuck aint takin it off again" in the most perfect southern accent ever lmao
dang i was skeptical but wow that looks waaaayyyy better and i always thought the og head was too big on the og body .i may have to do this .let us know where to get a custom bio mask thats more accurate
Your work is incredible, however the color of the plasma caster, backpack and torso armor is miscolored, on this figure it's much more on the pewter side, while the screen used armor was more grey with an ever so slight greenish tint to it. It's evident in the on set video footage of Kevin Peter Hall sitting and pantomiming for the camera.
The paint pattern, the eyes and the mandibles are more accurate, but the dome is to large and thats where the classic goes right. Classic is also more looking like the one from Predators, so thats why it is "faulty" in other parts.-

Anyway, I’ve been wondering if you ever had any interest in tracking down the Hot Toys AVP Artist Collection Samurai Predator? I believe it came out in 2011. Bit on the pricey side due to the after market of course, but It’s a really great piece in my opinion. Worth every single cent. For me, it’s probably one of, if not the Hot Toys Predator figures you could own. You can’t go wrong with it. In my Alien and Predator collection, it’s my holy grail. Impeccable work. Truly a piece of art. The base with the slain Xenomorph is just icing on the cake. Just wondering if it ever peaked your interest. Or if you haven’t heard about it before. Just thought I’d key you in on a really awesome piece. I’m not one of those people who tell others how to spend their money, not at all. Just a recommendation from a fellow collector. 😃
