I'll be honest, Waterblight just seemed unfun.
The entire Divine Beast was just enemy-spam, which is ultimately boring. SMO Superstar Mode was able to make the game more difficult in ways that are interesting and fun, but Relics of the Past doesn't seem to have achieved that.
Relics of the Past is still an impressive mod, but Superstar Mode is definitely superior in this regard.

I did a full relics playthrough not long ago here are some tips I learned
1) ancient bow mk 2 can like 3 tap a guardian with wooden arrows if you wear full guardian with the buff
2) cutting grass can can spawn fairies until you have 3 in your inv
3) Yes, there are enemies that spawn with ancient and other elemental weapons, beware the mounted bokos with lighting arrows
4) Always wear your ancient gear, you dont know when you will get mugged by a guardian

look it up if you want to know how, but you have to have a first edition switch and modding it will probably get you banned online
as far as i know, its easier to mod the wii u and since botw is on wii u as well, its where a lot of the mods are
