I have been purchasing these types of pencil cases for years. There are a lot of cases on Amazon that have different sizes, slots, colors, and quality. There are cases for about every size that you need. Most cases come with a strap and a handle for carrying. I recently bought a case that holds 480 pencils with individual slots. I appreciate that I can see 100 pencils at once. I have found that I use a lot more colors and brands than before. I was able to put almost all of my professional pencils in one case. I have found that these cases protect, store and organize my pencils more efficiently than tins, boxes, cups, or drawers. A great feature is that I can have all of my pencils, erasers, sharpeners, blenders, and brushes all in one place.
the updated version of these pencils are a DREAM!! idk if they changed up the formula or quality but my 120 set arrived today and they are soft cored and extremely vibrant and buttery when i swatched them. for the price they are comparable to my prismas (which is saying something as those are one of my favorites). the pencil barrels are very closely matched with the actual color and they lay down smooth and amazing on hot press paper. the updated pencils come with the color name number and lightfastness rating on the side. from what i can tell i believe they coincide with the blue wool scale , so most of them are within the medium lightfastness rating range ( but we'll see as soon as i complete my own lightfastness test on it and will update later) to fair lightfastness apparently. i think they are certainly going to be my travel set as there are numerous cute bags to choose from that also hold an eraser and sharpener slot. their sample paper was not bad either and the pencils took to it very nicely so cant wait to try on other papers. if youre eyeing this brands set i would personally say go for it cos it was a very pleasant surprise how nice they turned out. like seriously i was originally buying them as my crayola pencils replacement for coloring books in waiting rooms, parks etc and i was okay with a cheaper set in case i lose them but as soon as i swatched them i was in love, get it on amazon on sale rn and u can return it if its not what u expect !! im so tempted to go for the pastel macaron set too 😅
Oh that's quite interesting, l added them to my wishlist because of all the positive reviews on Amazon. The date of release says August 2022 though. Are you still happy with them ?

Henny..thank u for review..I can tell u that it was nothing about lightfasness on the case ..as if it was i assume they would v wack them stars on the pencils..that exactly how i got them but only paper piece saying H&B 120 pencils..and plastic wrapper around the case..no swatch sheet no any other sheets.. It's cost £24.99 for this set..and only one of the pencils has problem...am glad that they ok .. its just to have fun with ..that's what am doing ..colouring books..wish u well..Olga

Thank you for this video, Henny. The H&B pencils have been on my wishlist for a while, l intend to buy them for Christmas 😉. Indeed they do look a lot like other pencil brands made in China, but if they're smooth and well pigmented, that's OK for me as l only use them in coloring books, plus l'm a beginner so no need for lightfastness either. About pencils made in Holland, l've just bought and tested the 72 pcs Bruynzeel Expression, and l'm quite disappointed. I think they're not smooth enough (imho), they would be ok for children or students, for coloring very small areas, or for sketching. I have a box of 36 Bruynzeel National Gallery colored pencils and they are much smoother. But looking at the reviews online, it seems a majority of users love the Expression ones. Looking forward to more videos from you 🌺
Why I heard you sprayed something when you change to another color, then you cut pieces of videos in each color. Could be to make the tip softer and be able to make more layers. That could be misleading us in order to promote a bad quality product?

do you know the castle arts pencils? if you do, are they similar at all in texture/pigmentation?
