The fact that Xavier Woods is in the WWE, getting his doctorate, and running a RUclips channel all at the same time is very impressive.
Fun Fact: That gamepad that Omega brought with him is actually custom made by a fan, who had a trip to Japan and meet him in person. Kenny was so joyful about it, he bought him a dinner, and invited him to his house and play SFV till morning. A classy dude indeed.

I'm very impressed with how much Xavier improved since I last saw him play on Excellent Adventures and his RUclips channel. Mad props to both guys for putting on one of the best shows and one of the most entertaining sets I've seen in a long time.

Gotta admit, Kenny Omega is much more of a dedicated, knowledgeable and obsessive gamer than Xavier is. Xavier is kinda the low-tier, casual ongoing "look i like zelda, i'm such a geek!" type. He is a surface gamer that enjoys games but doesn't delve too deep in to anything, which i can, and i do, respect, after all, you don't have to be an analyst to enjoy games, so that's completely fine.
Kenny is the more "Oh, i like the look and the feel, the level design is fantastic, although the controls and the game feel could be better" type. The guy who understands games and looks at them from a completely different perspective than some other people might, and in the same vein as an evo semi-finalist would, maybe not quite to the level of Mike Ross, Gootecks (y'know writing books) or combofiend, but still enough to understand stuff like frame advantage, spacing, footsies, etc. etc. This, in no way, is intended to be offensive to both men, after all, hostillity in the game community is pointless.
I just wanted to say your assessment of Xavier Woods' personality shows such a fundamental lack of understanding and knowledge of how he actually acts that it discredits the rest of your statement. Xavier Woods does have a deep appreciation for video games, the only reason he talks about it at a surface level most of the time is because A. He needs to keep his stuff accessible for the portion of the fanbase that are not hardcore gamers (both in WWE and on his channel) and B. On his channel he works a lot with guys who only have a casual interest in games, so when he works with them he has to keep it at a level that they will be able to understand and work off of comfortably. Watch some of the episodes he's done with guys who are more serious gamers, its' there that he shows his deeper understanding of the medium and industry in general.

Well yeah, his shit opinion of Bloodborne is his major flaw. But that kinda plays into his job, he's on the road a lot, constantly doing things both in the ring and for promotions like this, and most of the gaming he does do is with friends, so he doesn't really have the time to master and understand a really hard single player game like the souls series.

Super sick match imo. I can't stop watching it! Whoever thinks this is fake doesn't understand the fgc... these guys are both mediocre players, but that is what makes this so fun to watch! You can't honestly claim you'd play better than these guys (unless you regularly enter tournaments). So its a fairly normal match you'd see online, but with awesome WWE-style shit talking before, during, and after. I wish someone recorded the DDR match after, I'm sure that was hilarious and awesome as well!
I'll agree this wasn't fake, but Kenny was obviously pulling punches to make the match more hype. He definitely succeeded.

Gotta admit. It atleast looked like two people who were okay at fighting games or atleast SFV. I expected Kenny to maul Xavier but atleast Xavier learned something past those sad EA episodes. I still expected someone who couldn't get out of the first area of BloodBorne to lack the discipline to get that far so good on him.
