Monokuma's Test lets you form a party of four characters, so once you finish Gonta next time you should be able to at least get to the first boss. That'll also give you enough gold to roll the Death Card machines and unlock some characters from the other games.

In case you didn't already know, you need to go to "draw death cards" and spend monocoins there to play as characters from DR2 and DR1
