I love Noel and to me he is a genius in terms of some of his melodies and no doubt he created some of the anthems of the 90s and his solo stuff is great.
But he’s never made a secret of being inspired by the Beatles and he admits that some riffs he did steal
@@joshpemberton8128 sorry to chime in 2 years later but there isn't any oasis song that specifically sounds like a whole beatles song fair enough DLBIA has imagine at the start but goes in a different direction and the outri of she's electric sounds similar to A little help from my friends.....Noel seems to have this knack of taking one specific part of a song and turning it into something else he can get 2 or 3 different songs from someone else's riff or melody....check out Confrontation camp by soundtrack of our lives it sounds like Lyla and Lord don't slow me down

How can Beatles songs written 20 years BEFORE Oasis songs sound like Oasis songs. Gallagher, like most musicians who have followed the Beatles, has been influenced by Lennon/McCartney and Harrison.

Oasis songs are influenced by Beatles songs. Many modern artists will say they are influenced by Noel Gallagher. Understandable as Noel is a great songwriter.

He MEANS "theres only 1 or 2 oasis songs that actually sound like beatles songs, so in a way it sounds like beatles songs are inspired by oasis" obviously they aren't but it sounds like it. Not starting anything. Oasis was THE band in their time, more so than Blur etc. Great songs throughout. My favourite video of “The Importance of Being Idle” is very much inspired by The Kinks “Dead End Street” . Rhys Ifans was brilliant in it. I have a lot of time for Noel Gallagher, less so Liam. That all may change though if Man City sign the best player at my club. Harry Kane may not be “one of our own” much longer!
