These guys are evolving to where they belong. Very proud to say that I'll be a Parkway Drive fan forever. How can anyone stray away from this band knowing where they come from and what they are trying to give to the world? Listen to the song for what it is, not what you want it to be.
Fucking awesome. I love that they are going in a melodic 80's direction with metalcore. One of the best tracks on the album.

The people complaining would be the same people saying they release the exact same album every year. Just shut up and enjoy a band that can cover all types of music and still remain the same humble group that we've all enjoyed through the years.

This was an even bigger experiment than vice grip methinks. I think its ballsy knowing a lot of the old school fans are going to go "wtf, 80's much." I think Winston wanted to sing a bit more, but I prefer his singing on a deathless song better. I gotta admit those guitar licks are catchy as fuck and I digged the little solo. If they do this with a couple songs on an album i'm cool with it, but if it turns into half the album I will be pretty annoyed. The article I read said the other new track has a heavier older parkway feel. Looks like tomorrow we will see!
Its different but i like it. Theres nothing wrong with experimenting with new sounds as long as they stay true to their roots

Every album they have made has always been awesome i feel Ire has the best versatility. Every song they sound like parkway drive. Except for this one. but i do like songs that can have a 80s sound to it. i hope they experiment more. cuz it allows happy artists. happy artists make great music. but it might not fit to everyone all the time. thats the beauty of art/music. if they make a bad album oh well ill stop listening to them and comback when they make a album that appeals to me. ill never bash bands for wanting to expand.

A Deathless Song is my favorite song from the Ire album. If I ever get married, I'm definitely using it at my wedding!! In my honest opinion, the lyrics and song itself just scream for it.

I have listened to a lot of metal bands and I find that in the metal genre, pretty much any kind of medal that doesn't have screaming or growling vocals tends to be more melodic.

I love it so much. And this is coming from someone who's been with them for many years now. It's different, but it's an awesome, well executed, killer and nice to jam to kind of different. It's not boring(to me at least). It's actually really catchy. I honestly could care less if it sounds heavy. If it sounds good to me, I'll put my faith and money into it. And I really like Winston's cleans. So I've no problem with what they change into as long as it sounds good which with Parkway Drive, it almost always does.
I'd like to see any other band try to pull this off as well as Parkway Drive. Coming from a choir and music background you learn to respect music for how it makes you feel, and for how truly sensational and euphoric it is. They went out on a limb and are expanding their talents and love for music and taking it to New heights. When that guitar whines that beautiful symphonic sway, you can't help but feel as if you're one with the song and can feel their affection towards their beliefs and courage to explore new sounds and styles of their music. If this is supposedly the end of the "Parkway Drive" as we know it then I think we truly know who the fans are and who likes to be closed minded. I know Winston has an amazing voice and what's wrong with him wanting to expanding and exploring his talents as well as the band members. I see a band that's able to put any obstacle in their way and not just overcome it but cut new paths for future talents. Everyone symbolizes or has had an influence from some form of music in their lives. Why knock them for being a leader not a follower? Keep making amazing music Parkway! Your true fans will always stand behind you

Been listening since 03-04 and, while the music is different, I like it more than their earlier stuff that got me hooked.
Me too and I've had the pleasure of meeting them 3x over the years twice at bamboozle at the meadowlands back in May of 08&09 and October 2016 in Sayerville NJ after their set thanks to my parents and my ex fiance Anna setting it up for my 25th birthday that I had no idea about even though I had already gotten the tickets for the show. Plus I was able to meet Kyle Pavone and Dave Stephens of we came as romans since they opened up for parkway drive that night and we we're literally parked by their tour buses.

You don't have to like it but to bash a person/artist/band for their vision is pathetic and sad. How can you say you listen? Standing up when you fall and never letting anyone tell you you're not worthy? Heavy music has always been a family that accepts us as we are. You who draw lines of division are simply shitty people who truly aren't listening to the music you claim to be fans of.
Preach it brother. This world has become soft from all the snowflakes and it *needs* a heavy dose of heavy with a back to back shot of metal straight to the head. The real thing about metal though is it's the real deal and doesn't give a fuck what anybody thinks and It'll literally shout it out to the world with nothing held back while still being open for anyone who wants to join in on the fun, plus it's a fact that the majority head bangers are actually the most honest, loyal, and down to earth people out there.

I've always viewed metal as a give no fucks, take no shit genre umbrella. Black metal, death metal, metalcore, deathcore, thrash, blackened death, blackened thrash and any subgenre that's come out since Black Sabbath founded metal has always been just that.
I may not care for a band, but you're allowed to like who you like and dislike who you dislike. And that's one thing I'll never let anyone do, is tell me my band isn't metal enough or I shouldn't listen to them. If they have a sound I like, fuck it! I don't care about off stage politics as much as I care if they can zen my mind.
Also while I've never been to a show, my boyfriend is a metalhead and can confirm that metal pits are often a look out for one another area. One person falls, someone helps you up. So why is it we'll do it in the pit, but not be ok with each other's differing tastes? Mind you I'll listen to Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, The 69 Eyes, Poisonblack and other gothy bands and EBM/industrial music, but my first love will always be metal and will forever hold a spot in my heart. So people... stop fucking giving a fuck about what others listen to because the band doesn't give a fuck if you hate their music, as they know they have fans who do. And to them fans mean everything.

Why is it that fanboys get upset when their favorite band drop a different track. I find that PD broke from the generic metalcore into something awesome a groovy yet still heavy. I enjoy IRE and all of the tasty riffs.
