Dang sad I missed Black Friday would've grabbed some of these for the Pokken content Glad to see you are still doing well man. Keep up the good content as always
Is the sound quality on something like MMX 330 Pro significantly better than astro a50 gen 5s? I'm torn between going for audiophile headphones with separate mic or astro a50s. Never tried either, been using a budget gaming headset so it would be huge upgrade for me either way. Just want to make sure I'm getting the best bang for buck here, don't mind it being wired or wireless just something that won't break for a long time and has the quality to back up the asking price.
im thinking the same right now bro, i had the hs80 which has a good mic but i started experiencing cracking idk why but i didnt buy a new one because its just really heavy for my head, so i switched to the hyperx III but there some problems with it i got it on sale for 50 brand new, but after using it for 2 months i started to notice pop and cracks again, idk maybe i have bad luck, ive just been searching reddit to see what people say
@@white.shadow It's not a crazy quality difference imo. It's mainly a different sound signature in terms of tonality and soundstage. The MMX 330 Pro is way more upper midrange and treble heavy and it sounds more "open" because it's open-back. But the pure detail and fidelity is similar. I prefer the A50 gen 5 as a total package, but if you want that audiophile experience you won't regret the Beyerdynamic. tl;dr if you want more bass and a better mic, get the A50. If you want more treble and a more open sounding headset, MMX 330 Pro.
@@heshi2405 Sad to hear about your experience man, I would probably try getting a replacement through warrant for your hypex III. The content creator replied to my comment so that might help you in making a better decision.
Just ordered the Facecam Mk.2 today. Was tempted by the Obsbot Tiny 2 Lite, but even if it offers a lot of value at $140-$150 I don't really need 4K nor the fancy gimbal/AI tracking stuff (also not sure of the gimbal reliability long term).
I got the astro a50 gen 5 for 230$ 😊 amazing sound, i dont even eq it, i only wish they had batteries i could swap out, not that i have a battery problem with it, but it could be great it keep it for a long time, i have had a lot of headsets, never owened a astro headset before, and i can confident say that this is hands down my favorite headset, if i could come with some 2 other minor complaints, mic should be removable, and bluetooth should be usable on the go 😅 good bass ❤ and clear 😊 thats how i hear it anyway 😁
I need some help if possible, I am trying to find a headset with a decent/great mic but he has an Xbox series x. I have been binging your reviews on all headsets and the ones I would’ve wanted based on sound quality through your mic tests (thank you for that by the way) are not compatible with xbox. I also strongly considered the Razer brand, but saw that many people had problems with the piece cracking after about a year. :/ any suggestions?? Thank you for any help you can provide. 😅
@@Moolissaaa What's your budget range? And is wireless important? The Astro A50 Gen 5 is fully compatible with Xbox and has an excellent mic, but it's one of the most expensive. lmk your budget range and I can narrow things down.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews He has wired now and probably doesn’t mind it, it’s not so important wired or wireless. I’m anywhere from 0-200, I’m not trying to break the bank but also don’t want to get something that will disintegrate. 😂 thank you 🥹
@Moolissaaa Alright here are a couple: HyperX Cloud III. Probably the "safest" pick if buying for someone else. The actual USB connection doesn't work on Xbox, but the 3.5 mm port does. 10/10 comfort, great build, great mic. Only downside is not that much bass, but otherwise it's amazing. Drop + EPOS PC38X more bass than Cloud III and it's open back. However it has a tighter clamp, and not as good a mic but still decent. Also 3.5 mm. Xbox is a bit tougher to shop for since like you said a lot of popular models aren't compatible with it, but I think those picks are solid!
speaking of mics lately i saw some reviews on a headset called Fifine H9 it has very good mic it can beat a lot of desktop mics imo, however i haven't seen any detailed review of it's gaming aspect most of whom reviewed it are casuals but there's only one who really play games said it was good at pointing where enemies at and verticality was good but you can't tell the distance and you lose details when things get chaotic but i guess that's a common things for headsets in this price range ? idk. it's a 40 dollars headset maybe it can be an idea for the next video 👌 it looks like a cloud 2 clone 😅

Already have 70% of my setup....but good looks for the mics on sale.
