What tyres would u recommend for the same generation fortuner? I'm Inclined towards Yokohama Geolandar g015 but I have heard sidewall cuts and bulges which is not covered under warranty. Other options are Michelin ltx force/ltx trail (very new so no reviews) and maxxis 771. Pls help 😇

Hey Doc, how much mileage drop did you experience after swapping the tyres? I recently upgraded my old Thar to the new one in petrol automatic. It is returning around 7km/l in the city at the moment. I was running maxxis 771 ATs on my old Thar, and love the performance. Most owner are getting BFGs here. Your comments?

Have not seen any follow-up videos as you had promised. Even I am planning to upgrade the tyres and wanted to know the following -
1. What PSI are you running them at.
2. How is the ride quality and the road noise, given the grooves it has.
3. Are they running against the front bumper or the clearance is ample for these tyres.

As you changed the stock tyres to Maxxis 980 tyres which are broader than the stock ones.
So, are you facing any difficulty in making extreme cuts while driving the car? Because tyres may touch the inner body of the Thar while making the extreme right or left turn.

He is facing issue with tyres as its touching the side fenders if the body while taking turns or you can say while doing left right turns with tyres , they touch sides body fenders ,

A lot less jumpy/bumpy ride which is typical of scorpio. 20-30% increase Stability and grip
Really good decision even i was going for KO2 but maxis seems to quite a value deal... Do make long term review of same tyres after good km on these & if possible compare it with any of your friend for KO2.. now i am sticking with OE tyre hope when they wear out this supply demand issue get resolved..

MRF’s are amazing road tyres, Maxis have just improved the off reading capabilities.

I did, few reasons for it. But easy fix
Please don't go by the figures shown on the MID. They are not fully accurate. Besides, in city conditions any which ways you won't get too much average. Average will surely go down by 1-2 kmpl as those Bravo's are heavy duty hard compound tyres but one of the best for off roading. Btw, the new tyres further enhance the muscular look of the Thar 💪.

Reset the fuel mileage then drive on highway at 70 75km/h at 6gear at 1500rpm my thar odo meter displayed 14.4km/l excat isse shyd 1 ya 1.5 km hogi ... cause muje dealership na btaya tha in stats pr engine peak performance bhi deta h ... Ive 2 video's on my channel as well you can check them out ... Ive just driven 1320km... I will do tank to tank for sure ... Aapki thar me jo 7 dikha rha h vo stuck ho jata h kbhi kbhi specially local me traffic bht hota h to local me average nikl nhi skti ... Meri bhi manual hai.
