fell asleep with my headphones on one night about a year ago. and for some reason or the other I woke up right as this song started to play and forced my self to stay awake that little bit longer to hear it this is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard. and has grown to mean alot to me I will forever cherish it.

Its been long enough, they apologized shortly after even cutting ties with the person responsible and I imagine they’ve learned a lot in both maturity and the power in letting anyone say what they want on their own platform. One person shouldn’t fuck up their whole legacy, they should be able to be a full time band again and heres hoping that it one day happens again

Yea their views shouldn't affect how ppl look at their music tbf. I don't think being dropped from the label was "fair", but there should've been some consequences. At least some warning in private? Unless they've been given one (or more) before but oh well..
This album is what I've been waiting for.
This band evolved my music taste, I gotta say idk what happen to them or how they got “canceled” but their music will live on and fans will carry it, it’s one of the most underrated shoegaze bands to this day

@ste men Oh it was definitely them though, probably just Nick. Went after GLOSS with an edgy insult because GLOSS was only letting certain types of people wear their merch or something. But I agree with everyone who says "who cares?" Unfortunately they did it when cancel culture was at it's beginning and everyone was racing to the peak of moral high ground mountain. He also bashed Elvis Depressedly who was on the label too. Said their music sounds like a 12 year old tumblr's user URL. Fantastic insult, but not a very good idea. Some opinions are better kept to yourself. Such a shame to see such a retarded ending to an amazing band.
Steven - yeah true. they were going through a lot at that time though. I feel like they were gonna split soon anyways, especially if u saw the “all the fun” documentary here on youtube. Loren has a whole ass kid, so that means the band would eventually lose their vocalist. And Nick’s mom unfortunately passed away like a couple months after the whole twitter shit happened, so she was definitely already in critical condition WHILE it happened. Nick was prolly crazy stressed about that. I mean, he even left Nothing right when she passed. Would make sense for him to leave Whirr as well.
It’s a good thing we got one last album last year though before they officially split. :)
