Tnx for the video! Is it good or bad for Anterior Pelvic Tilt?

A regression is also keeping your knee at 90 and tapping your heel to the ground. I'd say that's the entry level then the straighter your leg and the more you lower it the harder it is.

I heard this is good for APT, but it's hard to do this, bad coordination, can't get my right leg and left arm and vice versa to move at the same time. Like patting my head and rubbing my tummy, any tips??

This is wrong. Like completely wrong his hips need to come up and so do his shoulder blades he's recievng almost no core activation of this just hip

This is an anti-rotation and anti-extension exercise. The core is being used isometrically to keep him in line as his arms and legs are moving.

but its not, you need an anterior hip rotation in order to activate the core, you also should extend the seratus forward in order to engage the upper core. simply moving the feet and arms is not much of a core workout you may as well do a plank in that case cause anytime moving body parts are involved you are clearly trying to do contraction based work. This activating hips glutes quad, and shoulder..

@@MitchellKeller_ "you need an anterior hip rotation in order to activate the core"
You do not. When lowering his leg he's increasing the lever arm. Keeping it from falling freely and/or decelerating at the bottom of the movement when his foot is near the floor requires hip flexor contraction. Attachment of these on the pelvis or lumbar spine will pull the pelvis into APT and the lumbar spine into lordosis. This is what the anterior core bracing works against.
"you may as well do a plank"
The concept is pretty similar, yes. They are both anti-extension exercises. In this case though, the amount of force applied by the anterior core is still variable throughout the movement thanks to the increased lever arm as the leg is being lowered. Without looking at it in too much depth, I'm not aware of anything like this in the plank. Planks are isometric and isotonic. This exercise is isometric (for the anterior core) but not isotonic.
"anytime moving body parts are involved you are clearly trying to do contraction based work."
I don't really know what this means. Again, this is an anti-extension, anti-rotation core exercise. It's meant to provide variable resistance via changing moment arms while training you neurologically to resist those varying torques and preventing any actual motion at the spine.
I recommend looking up the general concept of anti-rotation and anti-extension exercises to develop core stability from reputable sources, like Cressey.

@@smockytubers1188 let me make my argument clear. It is that it's a far more effective exercise with anterior pelvic tilt and the surratus pushing the shoulder forward because having your glutes of the ground and shoulder blades off the ground create a longer lever and therefore more tension. If you're saying this is an exercise that is trying accomplish the goal of keeping the spine neutral throguht various muscle groups working together I can get behind that
