I am beginning to think that i enjoy the grind videos of the winter over the abundance videos of the summer. Either way, thanks to Brant for giving the extra effort in the off season. Really enjoyed that video!
Suck it up there buttercup Here in Indiana we have snow on the ground 28 degrees is the Heat wave Thanks for the video it's what keeps me going in this weather Nice sheep head Your breakfast looked amazing👍
Brant, put a dash of vinegar in your bacon grease before you cook your eggs. Trust me, Next level good!! This is a tip from Chef Andrew Gruel. Something about the acidity of the vinegar with the bacon grease really makes them pop!
Another Great video Brant !!!! Yes, the sheepshead is terrible to eat lol !!! Try steaming a filet with crab boil, and making a crab dip, but use the sheepsheadfilet instead of the crab ;)
Well Brant, if the real estate market dries up and the fish stop biting, we now know you'll be able to land on your feet as the front man for a Pearl Jam cover band. LOL! Tight lines
I appreciate that you didn’t make us watch a whole day of you catching nothing 😊, but I like that you show us that you don’t get a fish every cast. It’s good to know that someone else has “grind it out” days.
That’s maximum effort, which is what it takes to be driven…especially in the winter months! I remember someone saying through a few videos, “it’s a grind” and that is true in Florida! 😮 But any day fishing is better than a day at the office. Yep, my whole response is a bumper sticker lol.
Enjoy watching your bank fishing videos 😂 that’s what we do now having sold our boat. Might visit family in Pensacola and fort Walton in a couple of months and try fishing the area👍🏼
Coming down on the 20th...hopefully it warms up fro that cold snap. Looking forward to stopping by the store and doin some fishing! Thanks for all your tips!
I agree with you on cooking outside , it just tastes better. My theory is the food gets ionized by the fresh oxygen as compared to indoors. Something else is that it seems to last longer in the fridge. 🤔😏
I officially attest that Freshwater Drum aka Sheepshead in freshwater are absolutely delicious!! They are a white flakey fish that is delicious! They do have bones but nothing that cant be dealt with. 💯💯💯💯❤️
Freshwater drum or gaspergoo, sometimes called sheepshead in some states is not the same as saltwater sheepshead. I think you’re confusing the two fish because of its shared name.
I have always loved to catch sheepshead. I remember the first I ever caught because it was just a little tap and I swore it was a pinfish or minnow. Set the hook and it dang near took the pole away from me. I BECAME a life-long fan. Plus, YUMMY.
Yes outdoor cooking is great BUT when it’s only 14 degrees I tend to use my New Wave or deep fat fryer. Pansy I know. Those potatoes are like I had last night in the new wave. Fun video
You should try peppered bacon on the top rack of a grill. Let it drip onto your chicken or fish or whatever below. Has a different texture being grilled that way but still so good all the way around.
You need a trailer for your e-bike. I would love to go fishing with you, but, I live in Washington State. And I know I will never make it there. It's fun watching you. Take care and stay safe
Great video...second time asking, and I've decided im going ask every video till be get there! Damily and i are going down to pensacola end of February early march for a little vaca would love to get my son out and catch eome fish! Where do yoy suggest that tine of year? Beach, pier, inshore? What should we be targeting that time of years? Thank man
The freshwater "sheepshead" (or so people call them) are actually freshwater drum. They look exactly like black drum except they look light brown. They taste pretty poorly. Lol
If you're going to sponsor your videos with your own products/services, do something a little longer. Like you could show us a waterfront property by starting from, ending at the home's dock.
I appreciate you fishing from land. Not all of us are in a position to own a boat, so it's great to see you fish this way.
get a kayak?
@@diamondspectrum at age over 80 wouldn’t be able to drag one or get in and out ( lol ) without falling in.
Great video Brant I loved meeting you in person that morning you are such a kind person and a great angler loved the video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just had a foot of snow fall in the last day, watching your video gives me hope!
watching this from NY..18 deg and blowing 30mph...Visiting my sister in Jacksonville next month..cant wait
3:20 "I haven't fished here since last year..." That just sounded so funny, since "last year" was only 6 days ago. Hahahaha! :-)

Glad to be part of Brants You Tube journey. It's freezing here in the UK, so this really warms me up.

Haha. See you down here in July......

Brant, you certainly have a way with life. I always end up with a silly grin on my face after watching your vids
Appreciate you watching.
Nothing like fishing under a bridge singing Pearl Jam (Black) ,great song to go with good fishing!👍🏾👌🏾

Theres something just perfect about whispering with excitement when you are fishing and hunting.

Great video! Thanks for showing fishing from land and braving the cold weather.
You make me so dang hungry! I love your videos the way you an Melanie double team the food you cook!
Go catch them sheepish fish!😂
Appreciate it.
SNOWING in Connecticut........Have fun......Fishing vicariously through you...God bless.
Coming down on the 20th...hopefully it warms up fro that cold snap. Looking forward to stopping by the store and doin some fishing! Thanks for all your tips!
Anyone who sings Pear Jams Black while fishing deserves my respect
I agree with you on cooking outside , it just tastes better. My theory is the food gets ionized by the fresh oxygen as compared to indoors. Something else is that it seems to last longer in the fridge. 🤔😏
Better than Redfish?! Blasphemy Brant and you know it! Lol
Keep warm! It's nice and sunny over here in Navarre today!

@DNice337 I'm actually referring to freshwater drum. I catch them here in Illinois all the time. I've never fished saltwater.
I have always loved to catch sheepshead. I remember the first I ever caught because it was just a little tap and I swore it was a pinfish or minnow. Set the hook and it dang near took the pole away from me. I BECAME a life-long fan. Plus, YUMMY.

Minnetonka Minnesota is currently 17° we have 11" of ice, can almost drive on the lakes! Agreed on the outdoor cooking 🤘
You said “ I haven’t fished here since last year “ LOL not that it was but that was 7 days ago LOL !!! Great Vid as always Brant !!! 🧨🧨🧨
Thanks for taking us along from store to water
You need a trailer for your e-bike. I would love to go fishing with you, but, I live in Washington State. And I know I will never make it there. It's fun watching you. Take care and stay safe
I've eaten tons of sheepshead! Love the catch and cook videos!
Definitely taste better outside. We live in Florida for a reason. It ain't our January weather 😂
If I was closer I'd have to seize the plate from you 😂❤
I learned how to fish last May at that exact pier! I ride my bicycle to it every time. Thanks for the upload!
Everything’s better with bacon and butter🎉. Fishing videos in winter, I don’t have to poke holes in ice🎉😊
Bacon looks fabulous!
I love Pearl Jam and 90s rock. I think it's underrated as a 20 year old in 2025.
Need to make a bracket to hookup the beach cart to the ebike .then can put all your fishing stuff in the cart .
I've watched many of ya'll (you, Brad, Matthew, & CMR) fish this pier and catch lots of good fish. How is it its not swamped with fishermen?
I’ll be down there in a couple more weeks so I’m hoping the cold fronts are long gone before then.
Upstate new york country boy here . 16 out today I be Grilling in freezing weather all the time venison of course. Happy New Year
I agree.. sheepshead is my favorite as well. I probably would have made tacos with it.
Do mangroves bite during winter? Or is it mostly sheepshead fishing?
Great video brant, but we've had almost 2 feet of snow in the last week, I wish my winter looked like yours 😂😂❤❤❤
I've met some shady characters under Bridges in Florida😅
The humidity makes it feel colder .The NOAA hasn't realized since it's concept., that humidity plays a role in cold temps .
As a fresh water fisherman i believe the slip float rig would be killer for those sheeps Head on those pilings and standing structures
Love your videos!
Awesome trip.
Was that Brant fishing under that bridge or Eddy Vedder?
Nice Flips Man 🤝🏾👊🏾🫵🏾🙌🏾😎
Cool video thanks for sharing

Great video!
Ice and snow here 15deg out side. Think I'll stay inside and watch you.
great fish and it is getting cold here in Tampa.
Brant, you MUST eliminate ALL RUST from your grill before seasoning and cooking.
Dude, you need to be careful charging through that brush like that. That right there is prime eastern diamond back rattlesnake habitat😮
Funny to watch those bass getting pulled out of that coastal water.
When are you opening the restaurant Brant?
Great VIDEO ,!
Love your Content
Were you singing? Black by PJ is a good one.
I saw you over there when I came by on the boat lol I think you was peeing 😂
Awesome breakfast!!!!
Must say your a smooth talker.
Bearded Brad was there too!
Do y'all have to maintain your own bait stations? Or does the vendor handle the day-to-day upkeep?
We do
@AnglerUpTv Thanks! I just always wondered about that
Nice job. Tattooed everything !
hooked into a big red in the lake yesterday
Is that your tackle store?
Seasoned bacon 🤔😳😏👍
So your commit about us northerns, 5" of snow and after the clouds disappeared -0.2°
I do though understand I lived in Florida
Got down to 32° down in Texas last night.
Are there alligators there? If so,do you have to be careful bank fishing?
What kind of fish are these.
My Monday tradition beer pizza and angler up with Brant
Now we are talkin!
I feel like the tides have been non existent in my area lately. (Tampa area)
that alllll looked delicious..

Can't be breakfast without grits
I spent a life time in a few hours under that bridge last week and caught nothing but a dang toad fish.
Sprinkle a little sugar on your bacon while cooking.
Well at least you got one each
🚨🎣Much love and hugs and prayers in Jesus name ✝️☝️🔜👀👍💯
is this 308 bridge?
Question Do you have to pay for the bait?
1:06
@@AnglerUpTv❤❤❤
can/do you ship fiddlers to miami?
Better than Redfish?
How water proof are your feet and ankles?
That looks like the same spot beach bum was fishing just the other day but it was windy I think he got 2 fish
