Today was my first day of using Micro baits.. I ended getting a ultra light rod and reel combo, because my Med rod combo had snapped in half that day. I have to say I am actually glad it did snap.. I really dig the action of ultra light. Most fun I have had fishing in a long time..

I've got a mealworm colony going that I used to feed my pets but now it doubles as fishing bait. Panfish go crazy for them and I've caught huge bass as well!

Tip for the gulp jars, leave some of the paper seal attached. I’ve had them roll around the truck with no leak.

Urine specimen jars are the best. Learned that from Kayak Catfish cuz he uses 1” Gulpies on ultralight to catch bait.

  • @ex8280

Senko's probably the best bait. It's heavy, it sinks, and you can cut them up to whatever shape you like. It's even better if you find a piece laying on the ground. It will help you solve what color to use for the particular lake. Only issue is, if you loose it, there is no way to duplicate it. LOL. My favorite shape is the tube jig, gulp minnow, and mice tail.

I have tried tons of stuff. Honestly I got the most hits with a ice fishing jig, and the very end tip, of a Zoom trick worm. Ned rig style. Maybe the last 3/4 inch.
Murders pan fish. Wife caught 33 the other night. All on the same little bait.
Bubble gum pink was the color
