Anyway, me and Papa offered him to come fishing with us and he agreed. He and Papa spent most of the afternoon trading stories and laughing about moonshine runs, near misses, and getting out while the gettin' was good. I didn't realize who he was until I saw Smokey and the Bandit on TNT a few weeks after that. Papa knew all along. I was around seven or eight.
