    Teleprompter helped me a ton especially when I started using the PPT Mirror tool function that converts Powerpoint slides into teleprompter software.. it is a great way that helps to look & sound natural in front of camera than using word-for-word script.

    Colin. Thank you for making this and your other videos. They rock! In this one, how is it that the reflection isn't also captured into the camera video you are recording through the back of the teleprompter/camera?

    • @VideoRevealed
      @VideoRevealed  3 года назад +2

      I think it's because reflections are directly connected to the angle of light. If you look at anything reflecting around you, and you move your position, you'll notice the reflection changes too. So at a 45 degree angle, the light passes through the glass and hits the lens. If you moved the glass on a different angle, you'd eventually see the words in the lens. Make sense?

    Thank you for the great video., Collin.
    I experienced the advantage and huge benefit of using a Teleprompter and PPT Mirror software: I speak more freely and, of course, ‘‘get my messages across’’ in self -produced videos. I display my PowerPoint in reverse or flip it and put my tablet in the teleprompter and advance the slides with remote, simple, and easy to use. Which leads my videos to more naturalness and assist me in delivering professional narration.

    • @VideoRevealed
      @VideoRevealed  3 года назад +1

      What you're calling blurry might just be the second reflection on the second side of the glass. My glass was very thin so the second image is close. If you've used thicker glass, that would be the problem. Applying the tint at an auto tinting service would definitely help.

    I made a teleprompter using a piece of window glass but I get a double reflection; it seems like the ipad image is reflecting off of the front surface of the glass AND the back surface too.Yours doesn't seem to do that. I can't figure out why.

    • @VideoRevealed

      That's just the way it is when you don't use proper teleprompter glass. Most people aren't bothered by that, like me. Like I said, you can take the glass to a car shop and they can apply a treatment to reduce that problem.

      you have to have one that can open up completely with the keyboard tucked underneath like his does...the hinges need to allow the keyboard to be tucked all the way under. Otherwise, you'd have to leave it open flat and have a much larger (longer) support base. My laptop doesn't open up like that.

    • @VideoRevealed

      The reflection is caused by how thick the glass is. I used cheap, thin glass so it's not as noticeable. The only option is to take your glass to an automobile shop where they offer tinted window service.
