You REPEAT REPEAT REPEAT yourself way to many times. You have a descent video but it gets frustrating when you want the info but you keep REPEATING yourself so much that you cant get the information you need.
I recently used LeakSaver as a DIYer. We'll see how it holds up. The key is running a drying agent through the system for at least a couple days beforehand to ensure no moisture. LeakSaver costs much less than LeakArmor as well ($36 versus $80+)
I have used this many times in units that have been a few pounds low on charge and it’s been over 6 months and there still going . The ones I have used it on have all been small leaks in the evaporator . I did just put some in my personal unit that is leaking from the condenser and that was 3 lbs low I did order a new unit but will see if it holds over the summer if not I will replace it when it goes low on charge . I will fly the lines and see if there’s any residual in there . As for how it works there is a chemical action with heat pressure and water that makes it seal so I wet down the condenser after in stalled a few times and make sure it runs for a few hours after
All your hvac techs out there who are lazy and don’t do their jobs correctly you are absolutely liable 100% responsible for millions of personal injury and millions of system failures.
We are sweltering now. Our AC man says he will try to find leak and weld if doable, add this stop leak stuff and refill refrigerant. It it fails, he will deduct present cost from a new unit install.
I've had 2 techs from different companies to tell me I have a leak neither of them searched for the leak they just advised you need a new system and then gave estimates.
Dude are you SAYING you fix leaking units by ONLY adding refrigerant? Or by putting in leak stop, you won't troubleshoot and FIND the leak ? I want to make certain I heard that right.🤔🤔🤔
First of all thank you for your informative videos that help home owners like me . my neighbor last year add stop leak to his 6 years old unit which this year his unit was empty again so couple days ago he just replace evaporator coil which was causing the leak . but i am not sure his technician what kind or brand of sealer used in his system .
I have used on units 6 years and older, and it have work, I explain to the customer that if the leak is too large it might not work. But most of the time it work.
I’m sure they would say no but I would try not to reuse monset after a product like this has been put in the system. If I have no other choice, I would at least make sure the ones that have been flushed and cleared clean as possible

Where did you buy the LeakSaver? Hope it works for you.
Did it hold up?
@@nnaji10 Unfortunately, nope. Following year it leaked again even though its a small leak.

Where is the sealant available for purchase?
I've had 2 techs from different companies to tell me I have a leak neither of them searched for the leak they just advised you need a new system and then gave estimates.
Same here. They won't even bother trying to find the leak. Just recharge it and they're on their way. Kinda frustrating
If you have an R22 unit a leak repair could be 1600-3400 dollars
standard operating procedure for most
I just decided to get a new one.

I want to make certain I heard that right.🤔🤔🤔
Nope. You didn’t hear that right 🙂
@@NewHVACGuide could you please repeat that?
That obviously depends on the system pulling a vacuum. God help the owner who connects that to the high side.
Very dangerous for sure pal
Thoughts on the Nu-Calgon easy seal?
hope and dream 😂

Gotcha. Yeah, it’s a gamble. Hopefully that’s it!

Can either product negatively affect the refrigerant lines that you may reuse with your next system?

@@NewHVACGuide monset?
Won’t this plug the txv?
No. It specifically says it won’t.
@@NewHVACGuide I would use it on the field but I wonder how much we would charge customers for something like this.
It will
