Caleb, I tried signing up for Acorns using your link, but because I signed up for their service about 7 years ago, and never used it, I couldn't get the bonus. Could you perhaps suggest a resignup bonus for people that have been inactive on their account for a certain period of time. Maybe 48 months or something? Thanks
Hey Caleb! I work for a mortgage lender as a credit consultant and I would love to talk to you a bit about credit especially the Fizz Card. I have to recommend people opening up credit cards to help build their positive credit history and I wanted to know more about the Fizz card and how it reports (primary reason being Chime and Kovo and Current and these other pop up cards DO NOT report like credit cards on reports and are hurting people's credit). I think a Fizz card would be a good responsible way for clients to build credit. Also, I would love to answer any questions you have about credit so for future audits you can direct people in good ways of paying off their bad debt which will help their credit (For years down the road when they are financially responsible enough to take out a mortgage).
Worked so good that he was able to finger blast her into having 3 of his kids. This lady is doomed. Coming from a household with less money and less connection, she’s stacked the deck against herself at such a young age.
Also if he actually has a permanent physical disability, he would be able to apply for a government subsidy. So regardless, whether he's disabled or not, he SHOULD have some form of monthly income
@@n.emm1908 Her total lack of simple mental capacity is her real problem, that and being in complete denial. It's way bigger than who she is dating at this point. Lol, $500 means nothing in the grand scheme of things. Sandwich, sandwich, sandwich.
She’s that girl that parents especially the mother didn’t teach her shit because the mother was a piece of shit and a selfish breeder then she became a selfish breeder herself.
Point still stands though, you can hire a mobile mechanic who will come to your vehicle if you show them proof of ownership they will cut and code a new key for you. It takes a few minutes and costs a few hundred, would have been the better option. They just wanted a nice new shiny car and don't understand how much it will actually cost them.
It sounded like the key fob battery was dead which (for me) was a job that requires a total of ten minutes time, a butter knife, and a 50 cent battery from Amazon to solve.
Seriously with no hate, she clearly has learning difficulties. How on earth has she managed to have 3 kids and get this far in life. It is so sad and feel so sorry for her kids.
I noticed this too. I seriously feel like the people in her life know that she has some kind of functional disorder and both enable her and take advantage of her.
I was thinking exactly the same. She clearly has mild/borderline moderate learning disabilities, has no control of her life is very easily led and I seriously wonder how she manages with 3 very young children when she can't manage her boyfriend/manchild (who prioritises porn and vaping). Social services should have this family on their radar just to keep an eye on them.
Thank you for social workers for always taking the sight of the mother and then giving them money and then watching them squander it away especially when it comes to child support payments
Im so glad you grilled her about choosing to have more children while she was living with parents while living in poverty. Absolutely bonkers. So disrespectful.
My sister is 37, still trying to have a baby with her husband and people like this pop out twins like nobody's business. Not to say anybody deserves children more than anyone else, but the world works so backwards sometimes.
I know a “single mom” of two that’s gotten crazy money from the tax credit and blows it all on vacations and plastic surgery for herself but tells her kid she doesn’t have money for her to try gymnastics. It’s so sad and frustrating. That money is because of the kids and to help provide for them not to blow on yourself.
This and people like on this video is why I absolutely refuse to listen to people who tell me I should pay more in taxes. The government can’t handle anything and these people are broke by choice.
And beta and disgusting...dudes working at pap John's and kids around and he thinks that's ok? Cause he know she would see....dude is probably a predator
I have ADHD and no debt, savings, paid off house and cars. I put my obsessive brain into good use when it comes to paying bills and saving tho. I obsess over numbers
Im poor as fuck, i have two kids on a single income but my children will forever come first. Zero debt, roof over their heads, food in their tummies, clothes on their back and savings to fall back on. I'll never make enough to buy a house in my country but id roll over and die before my children ever go without.
Same here. I have worked HARD to provide for these children and I’ll be damned if someone tries to take it! I don’t understand how some moms can just let their children go without and be okay with it.
It's okay if you can't buy a house. If you can put away into a brokerage, you can at least grow a pot of money in the meantime. If you secure higher salary position later in life, you can grow the pot further.
1 year ago, I was $6k+ in debt with no emergency fund. My debt is now at $1200, and i've started working on my emergency fund 😊 Caleb's show helped me understand that me being "broke" was because of my spending, not because I didn't make enough. People's stories helped me understand what keeps us all in debt. I was supposed to have my debt completely paid off today. An expensive car repair set me back slightly, but we're back on the road and on track to be debt free this summer!
Huge kudos for her actually asking what the word 'volatile' means when she didn't understand it. That is very rare to see in a person imho nowadays, being able to actually ask for clarification for something they do not quite understand.
She seemed sweet, but like she may not be as aware as the average person. Unfortunately, she made the decision to have children, and any personal shortcomings need to be overcome for those kids' futures. Also, fuck her boyfriend.
@@banjothecattledog9590 Its not that the bar is low, its that we tend to make people feel shame for not knowing something. It can be intimidating to be humble and ask, and we should acknowledge when people are and cultivate that.
She didn’t go into a lot of detail about her relationship but tbh I get the vibe that she’s in an abusive relationship. Her BF spending OF money, PlayStation, and smoke shop money on her card, she wasn’t “allowed” to return the car, he hasn’t been contributing, plus the rush to pop out more babies that were “planned” but absolutely not prepared for at all. Plus her just having absolutely no agency over her own situation. Sounds like she’s being manipulated and abused. Whether it’s that or just plain carelessness I hope she’s able to get it together.
You’re probably right, I’m a guy and was severely neglected. I stay single now because I only find myself in abusive relationships. Abusive for me is more on the psychological and verbal side. And being emasculated that type stuff. But because my mom was the way she was, I instinctively find those things in other women unwittingly. I stick to my dogs, they have taught me how to feel unconditional love!
These were my exact thoughts. I listen on Spotify but had to come RUN to the RUclips comments because I was hoping others would have this same thought. Its a sad situation and I hope she figures this out sooner rather than later.
A lot of people would rather nod their heads and not look stupid by asking. I give her credit for asking. Sure it’s a pretty simple vocabulary word, but you only hear it in terms of stocks or chemicals lol
I think everyone has already commented enough on the speed at which she responds and seems to absorb information, and her appearance. Like she said, she asked to be part of financial audit for a reason. I hope that she fixes her bad spending habits and chooses to do right for kids and herself. If you are reading this miss, please know that you are capable and are allowed to set boundaries with your partner. A person who does not respect you, is a person who does not love you or care about the best for you. Be blessed.
For real all I see is another human who is doing what their parents did to her. No one wants to admit a big portion of the last few generations treated their kids like they came after them. Well the parents who chased money and success atleast. My mom made me in to this same irresponsible adult. Laughs at me when I say I want to make a budget because she is too good for one. But she rails against me that I am not more fiscally responsible. We need to be having a conversation about abusive parent dynamics that carry on from generation to generation. My grandparents did this to my mom and her sisters, and so on. Yes as an adult we can choose to be different, but in most cases we’ve never seen different, and live in towns where all the parents are the same and some kids got lucky and got the “big corporation job” our grandparents told us to get. But most of them are just like this here. I’m glad I only have dogs and stopped dating, I’m afraid to do what my parents did or worst. Anyways sorry if this is more of a rant. Was meant to say I agree, and this should be a National topic about this stuff, then a conversation about finances. Otherwise many will just fall back in to habits and familiar patterns.
@@gs2782it’s because you can see that she is vulnerable, and you know her creepy, porn-rotted boyfriend tells her he needs OF because she’s not pretty enough, and he deserves his fantasies 🙄 That’s why it’s relevant.
Finally a compassionate comment. There is so much going on here, she is brave to come on here and try better herself. I wish her well. Her bum bf was too scared to come participate and he is a major part of the problem
@idkbruhimhigh a good budget can help you save for one. It took my like 3 years to save enough but I was able to cash flow 10 days in Japan and came back with zero debt. It just takes discipline and certain sacrifices.
If taxpayers are funding her children, we should have a right to dictate how they’re raised. Otherwise, we shouldn’t hav two contribute a dime. You know she didn’t pay anywhere near $10,000 in taxes, that’s all other people’s money!
@@Catmom-gl5nttotally agree!!! Child tax credit should be spent on the child and their education and all expenses should be filed with next year return to prove its use. I hate that people like this getting 10k in child tax credit meanwhile I'm getting exactly $0 tax credit but at the same time I have to pay 20k/year on daycare for my one and only son who likely won't have a sibling coz I can not afford another 20k :/
I'm genuinely saddened by the clip of her not returning the car, it's such a golden opportunity and getting the key fixed would take almost no time at most locksmiths
@@starsantheoriginaleh, she said everyone pressured her into keeping it but that’s probably just a lie. lol In the video she constantly pawns off accountability. Doesn’t even say thank you for the $250 to fix/tow the other car. The kicker was her saying she doesn’t regret spending all that money for the concert.
@@KrystalMimms lol Or it was just her and she pawned off the blame on everyone else. I’ve noticed most of the people that come on this show almost always shift blame on someone else or some event. 😂

$665 for a car payment when you’re making so little is borderline insane. I’ll never envy anyone I see driving a new car ever again I don’t want their problems lol
@opheliadays5803, my granddaughter is 27 years old without any children. She works for the city and lives with her fiancé who owns his home. She owns a 2013 Jetta and it cost her cover $1500 for repairs a couple of days ago. While wait for the repairs to be completed, the sales department called and offered her a trade of a later model. She kindly told them she’ll take it if they were giving it to her for free. We had a good laugh!!!!
Working at car dealerships I can tell you, ALOT of people go in debt for vehicles. I’ve seen someone take on a monthly payment like a mortgage. @ $1300/month I don’t like any car that much!!!
one of my mom's three jobs is working at a concert venue. She could stay and watch the shows for free if she wanted, but she'd rather sleep and take care of her kids. no parent is perfect but oh my god her poor children
Imagine having 3 kids, making poverty level money but getting back 10 grand for having those kids and just blowingggg it on nonsense. Her boyfriend seems like he may be a disrespectful bum and she doesn’t seem all there. What a mess.
Ok that's a nicer to say what I was kinda trying to say 😂 he's so stupid "my mom and my boyfriend didn't have a job so I took them to a concert" "oh I'm getting a second job so my boyfriend can still not have a job" YOUR BOYFRIEND BETTER CLEAN THE HOUSE COOK DINNER AND KEEP THE KIDS CLEAN HAPPY FED AND ENTERTAINED!!! Postalone concert,,, dad over there smoking weed probably got the kids trapped in the bedroom watching screens all day 😢
She sounds like a lot of people I work with every day. They have a learning disability or not all there and their family members take advantage of them CONSTANTLY. Having 3 kids, a bum for a boyfriend of 3+ years, and paying off people just screams she's being taken advantage of. It's so sad. What my company does is try to teach them the skills to survive in society even with their family members pressuring her. I feel so bad for this lady. I really hope she finds a friend that truly cares and helps her escape this situation. It's borderline abusive at this point. They're wrecking her credit score and her financial well-being and the kids are suffering for it.
Yeah, I'm finally far enough in she just reminds me of a girl I knew who was living in an adult group home her dad had managed to find for her. She was clueless about everything. She accidentally set someone up to be robbed and did not understand why anyone was upset she was still "friends" with the mugger. It was a lot. So many people that obviously need help just dont count as needing it "enough" now that they're adults and rarely get noticed in school to get caught early enough to make a difference
I love when people say "do something fun for once" or "treat myself for once" etc And yet they are clearly treating themselves or doing fun stuff like recreational shopping and going out almost daily
My husband and I were thinking about using our tax return for a summer vacation. After watching you this past year we decided to use it to pay off my car! Such a better decision. Thank Caleb!
Protip, tell everyone you are going on vacation far away and stay home. They won't bother you to do anything on your week off and you won't go into debt.
Lesson to the audience: Don’t have kids if you’re going to be an immature parent. She’s going to ingrain financial irresponsibility in her children, repeating the cycle for another generation.
@@TannerisSmol97 If you can drop the ego and self reflect, it’s possible for sure. It may be anecdotal, but I was a selfish asshole in the past and I knew I was. I finally recognized that and worked to get better. This person is aware of the things she’s doing, she’s willfully choosing to ignore that it’s an issue.
Lesson to the audience: your parents are generally not the people to get financial advice from. They may raise you to be financially irresponsible but by the time you are 25 choosing not to learn is on you. This isn't just about finances either, parents aren't generally geniuses so many actual life skills need to be learned on your own because your parents taught you without fully understanding it themselves.
I work with someone like this, he is SO severely on the spectrum, and while i cant diagnose her , i get the sense that she doesnt feel bad because she doesnt understand why she should, which would explain her not being to understand why she should feel bad
Yeah, it’s not often I want to diagnose people online, but there is definitely something…off about this woman that feels borderline incapable. And I don’t know that there’s even a solution to people like this outside of others intervening to remove her children at some point.
My wife is slightly on the spectrum and she also struggles with comprehending accountability and self-discipline. It is a very VERY difficult thing to get someone with that diagnosis you grasp. They tend to look at things with a black and white lense of "well I enjoyed it so why should I feel bad?"
I feel she's a good case study on why some low income families get so heavy in debt. She could get an extra $20k in child credit and she'll still figure out how to get herself in deeper debt. Financial literacy is the first step. But changing her ingrained justifications for spending is the real uphill battle.
If she just took the 5min to simply Google how some things work, she would have been insanely better off 😭😭😭 she just makes decisions without thinking about it or knowing what she's doing and it's so frustrating
Caleb your show got my hubby and I in line 2 years ago. We paid off all extra debts - credit, cars, student loans. All we have now is our mortgage. And now we are putting away $800 a month in to SoFi for our emergency fund. We just recently had our first daughter and life feels so much easier now not having to worry about loans and money. Thank you so much for this show.
Correction: Having another baby under your parents' roof when your not meaningfully contributing to the household is inconsiderate. Don't forget there are generational families under one roof where this works as long as everyone is growing the wealth.
Yep, my siblings do the same thing. My dad has both my step sister and step brother and step brother's wife living with him and they both have multiple children while living there. My dad also still has a kid under 18 living with him. This is a four bedroom house that's like a thousand square feet with one bathroom. Can't really blame them though cuz he allows it lol
She has good ideas about getting a routine and schedule worked out. The problem she has is that she expects everyone else to set those up for her. I really think she just wants Caleb to show her how to do it so she can say "it is Caleb's fault I don't have any fun. The world is still against me!"
@@vanguardengneer absolutely. As Caleb sometimes days "this is the system we live in." She doesn't have to like it, hell she can even want to change it. @@evanbyrne7020 I find there are limited options when you just don't take accountability. I was lucky and never had a credit card so I can't speak to the problems most have on this show. @@UniquelyUnseen Big maybe here. If she wants to change it will help. When I was on adderall it helped my focus so I could work more efficiently. The problem is it wears off and your habits wont change unless you want to change them. I don't take medication anymore and am a bit slower but not getting the shakes for 4-6 hours after it wearing off is so much better.
@@UniquelyUnseen yes, but again the issue is the want to change. Motivation is a huge issue for people with ADHD because our brains are garbage at/with dopamine. Sure the medication will help in some ways but it will not solve the issue of her lack of responsibility. It's healthy to recognise there is an underlying condition that exasperates your issues, but you need to understand what steps you have to take when you are on medication. Medication is a good crutch, it's not a cure.
How she managed to reproduce is beyond me. Edit, the more I listen to this, she sounds like she's mentally 12. Clearly, she works at Tesla. She could even pick up other shifts. Hell, get the BF to work there too. Tesla also has onsite gyms, free cereal and milk. She's probably hitting the food trucks rather than the onsite buffet. You do have to pay for buffet, but it's probably cheaper.
@faithrider94 yep, I definitely prefer the older ones. They seen much more interesting, imo before clicking on the video. But he did go too far on some of them, like when he mentioned a guest being a cuck in the thumbnail once 😂
I'm a single mom with 2 little boys. I go out of my way to make sure they have what they need. When money was tough I was selling all my personal belongings that had any value, I was working 12-18 hr days at one point with 2 jobs, I was going without new clothes or doctor visits for myself to ensure they had what they needed. My kids always had food and toys and clothes they needed. We are in a much better place financially. Could be better but we at least have all our bills paid, I got major repairs done on our house, and we have leftover sometimes to take a family trip this year. Took alot of grinding and sacrificing and fixing my finances to get here and it feels so good
I feel really bad for this woman. The part where Caleb reveals she didn't return the car because people in her life did not allow her to. That's so sad, she seems like a vulnerable person that is being taken advantage of and doesn't have her own agency.
I was immediately struck with the feeling that the whole explanation of everyone in her life preventing her from returning it was a lie. No one would have told her that, especially if she told them the actual information regarding the car payments and the 30 day return. The only way its even remotely possible the people in her life would have advised her that way is if she lied/withheld the details involving the car, and in that case it’s essentially the same as lying about the family preventing the return. I am beyond sure she simply wanted to keep the car. Same car she ironically wont even get something as small as a new keyfob for. Fucking disgusting- like caleb said.
@@Noah-zz7ctI don’t agree with this. My mom would 1000% try to convince me to keep it because she wouldn’t want me to inconvenience her. The boyfriend could want to keep the car because he could benefit from the car. The parents could convince her to keep it because she would be more independent
@@lilveggiebb the whole entire idea of trading in the car for the money back was to get a cheaper one. So neither of the things you mentioned would be an issue
I have a friend who always had reasons why good advice won’t work for her. I eventually figured out that when she reacted that way, what it really meant was that she wasn’t interested in following that advice. She just didn’t want to admit it because she knew she was in the wrong. This lady is exactly like that. She knows full well that she’s wrong but subconsciously, doesn’t want to actually change. Thankfully, my friend eventually grew up and started listening to good advice.
Honestly watching this makes me even more eternally grateful for my mum. She had me 3 weeks before her 18th birthday and she's honestly the most responsible, hard working and the best human being I've ever met. She took me to school with her when she was finishing her education, got us our own apartment and worked her ass off. I never felt like we were struggling and though I was never a kid that asked for much, she genuinely gave me everything I could need AND more. I feel for her kids
She understands. But if you were you were to put yourself in her position then you would see that the situation is totally out of control there is no reason to do anything because she is already in the tank really deep.

As an adult who has been diagnosed with ADHD and who takes medication for it, addiction can be a big issue. For a lot of people it can be food or drugs/alcohol. It’s possible that for her it’s spending, but you still have to take accountability for it.
Agreed. I have periods of manic spending and my psychiatrist pointed out to me that it could be connected. Being more aware of it helps me keep on top of myself. I have more in savings than I ever have before. I just opened my first credit card almost a month ago and still haven’t used it because I’m terrified of the power it gives me😂Gas ONLY! Promise!

I love signing back in and reading "account closed'. It feels so good. Thank you, Caleb. Thank you Thank you Thank you for spreading your knowledge and advice.
Congratulations, I'm proud of you. The benefit of eliminating loan payments is huge! As of today, I'm officially credit card debt free. Let's celebrate with a sweet treat financial audit video.
She sounds exactly like me when I was manic and unmedicated. I blew through money like that because I panicked about never having money again. New clothes, new sheets and towels, a weekend to feel normal, etc. People in poverty are under constant stress and tend to not consider the future on account of being too busy trying to survive the month. I really feel for her. *I have not watched the entire video yet.*
I don't understand why banks make these loans. They'll get the car back eventually, if she doesn't wreck it - but with deprivation, legal costs, report costs, costs to sell, etc., be worth the handful of payments she'll make?
Her boyfriend was so injured that he couldn’t work for months. Okay. But he can play video games, spend 100s of her money each month on vaping, and use her money to pay for OnlyFans. I have to wonder if her dad kicked them out cause he’s such a looser. She’d be better off to break up with him and live with her mom or dad.
I don’t know how anyone can spend hundreds each month, a $25 bottle of vape juice and a $7 replacement pod lasts me over a month. He must use Juul, refillable vapes is the way to go. I’d spend $20 every couple of days when I used that disposable BS.
yes he's like a fourth child, he's not contributing anything to the household he's literally just another weight she has to pull. But considering her mother is kinda using her too I doubt she will ever have the brain power to get out of this situation
She does not come across as the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree. Who has a child with a man who doesn't work, plays games all day, vapes, and can't move out... and then decides to make MORE children??? She already couldn't afford the one kid. On top of that, she gives him authorized access to her money when she's underwater?
What's crazy is that she complains her Scion is "dead" because the key fob battery expired. YOU CAN OPEN A KEY FOB WITH A BUTTERKNIFE AND REPLACE THE BATTERY WITH A NEW ONE FOR 29 CENTS ON AMAZON 🤦.
I don’t believe for one second that she was “forced to keep the car” by people around her. She wanted that car, she likes it, she picked it because it was the car she wanted to have and she doesn’t want to give it back. Thats it.
This girl is a lost cause...after finding out she had a chance to get rid of 26k in debt she just flat out refused...life is going to be rough for this one
Yeah I get the whole peer pressure kind of thing but she could have stood up for herself and changed her life around and she chose not to. It’s kind of gross
Her boyfriend paying for only fans with HER money….Lmaooo dawg. This whole situation is COOKED. I actually feel bad for her, idk why. It feels like she just learning this stuff.
It’s not that poor people shouldn’t have kids. It’s that you will sacrifice a lot for those kids. And if you don’t then you aren’t mature enough for kids
Yea if you’re poor, it’s fine to have a kid as long as you put the kid first at all times. If you have to go without new shoes for a year or 2 that’s what has to happen.if you’re worse than that then no, definitely never kids.
No, that’s a nasty thing to say. Poor people can still have kids. Back in the day, poor people having kids were normal. You can always make it. You just have to be frugal, careful and willing to sacrifice. But it’s always worth it, for your child.

I feel really bad for this woman. The part where Caleb reveals she didn't return the car because people in her life did not allow her to. That's so sad, she seems like a vulnerable person that is being taken advantage of and doesn't have her own agency.
Exactly :(
I was immediately struck with the feeling that the whole explanation of everyone in her life preventing her from returning it was a lie.
No one would have told her that, especially if she told them the actual information regarding the car payments and the 30 day return. The only way its even remotely possible the people in her life would have advised her that way is if she lied/withheld the details involving the car, and in that case it’s essentially the same as lying about the family preventing the return.

This is gross. I feel so bad for children that have THIS for a parent. 😢
Agreed. I go out of my way to teach my son about finances. Things I wish I learned in my 20s but didn't till my late 30s (better late than never, I suppose). I could not imagine being this financially reckless with a child or children in the picture. This is how generational poverty perpetuates itself.
Love how you worded your comment. That thing is one selfish creature.
Yay. Single mothers.
I’m not even 10 minutes into the video. The level of irresponsibility and reckless spending is WILD. $1600 Target shopping spree but has a past due car payment….WTF
I worry with her for when her kids get older, “Kids mommy needs money cause she deserves things”
im convinced she cant be helped. she is borderline just empty headed. nothing going on up there. and nothing is getting through to her.
The fact that her family stopped her from returning the car she couldn't afford... my blood is boiling.
hate to break it to you but she is probably lying
@@nono99136 Probably lying as in using the family card as an excuse. She just wanted to keep the shiny pruchase
@@nono99136how on earth did you interpret his comment so wrong?
@@nono99136you are not very bright lol
Nobody stopped her lol. She's a grown ass woman, popped out 3 kids, has a job and the car is in her name.
She can return a car if she wants to return a car.
I would say I'm going to the grocery store, drive that shit right back where it came from, and come home without it.
What are they gonna do about it, beat my ass?
Please, she didn't want to return it. 😂
I am STUNNED that she didn’t take her car back. How awful. It doesn’t matter what people around her said, it was her responsibility. She could’ve gotten out so easy and did nothing. Just horrible. It was laid out for her so well and she willingly decided to keep a car that is worth 11 grand less than she took a 23 %(!!!) loan on. No excuse 😑
I got so freaking angry when I heard that too, the ONE TIME some stupid fine-print actually works in your favor and she’s going to just allow that train wreck to happen anyway 🙄
I know! This dude is such a bad parent. I don’t know why he didn’t just return the car, pay some of his debts with the tax return, and set up his children for a better financial future.

Watching the checking account drain from $10,000 to $0.00 stressed me out knowing she only gets that once per year.
Exactly same
