Several years ago my sister was a foster for a beagle who was rescued from a horde. There 96 deutsch hounds and two beagles. They were ina two bedroom house in Oklahoma. She had spent most her early life in a dog kennel.( the dog was estimated to be 3 years old) The beagle didn't know how to play, chew on a bone or play with other dogs. The dog tested positive for heart worms. After 6 months of vet visits, and socializing I adopted the Beagle. Was blessed with a wonderful pet and companion for 7 more years. My sisterand I hadto put her down because of bladder cancer. Rescued pets seemto know they are safe and will live a better life. Adopt befoe buying a pet😊

Tail wagging is a sign of excitement but it doesn't always mean happy. The vibrating collar would be incredibly helpful for the deaf dog. It doesn't hurt at all and while the sign language will work once you get her attention, the collar could function the same way calling another dog would.
That little one impressed me in a way. Most dogs adjust to new people and just accept, but he said no, I will yell until you take me to my real home.

As for the vibrating collars, all of the humans in our house “tried it out” and they are not uncomfortable nor do they hurt. They just do a small Bzzz like a cell phone in your pocket would, and it alerts the dog (dead or otherwise) that you’d like they to return attention to you.
Highly recommend for training off leash, deaf or not! My dogs learned near instant recall after just a few weeks of collar training (although we used the beep function as well which wouldn’t work for a deaf lady!)
AND WOW the Aurora story 😢😢❤❤

Of course they feel different things! I have two that MUCH prefer physical reward such as pets or such, over food treats.

Are dogs eyes different from ours? They are all wearing glasses but the dog and he is using the laser inches from the poor dogs eyes. I have seen video’s of people and animals getting lasered and anyone with eyes including animals are all wearing goggles. I hope it doesn’t hurt the dog it seems like it has enough problems.

The dog was looking away, so not damaged.
