Was your Neo running the .400 firmware when this happened? Normally pressing the Start/Stop button twice should stop the motors in manual mode, too. I had a simular flyaway just once but with the old .300 firmware. It takes about 20 seconds until the Neo will react normally to stick inputs again.

So apparently after the latest firmware update all the manual mode settings are gone..
Also any thing you do after the update like calibrate the gimbal, calibrate the compass etc.., will kick out any keys you had saved for manual mode in addition to putting the drone in M Mode and it jumping to 40 degrees.
Actually cashed in the the care refresh. DJI confirmed that it should not be doing that.. They offered to do it under warranty but that process would have taken too long.. You get 4 replacement options with care refresh..
Think they read from a script.. they actually shared live that it's not possible to live stream with the drone any more either (apparently ya can)
Was just a glitch with the streaming key - new video will be coming out for that soon. Hope this helps.. Let us know how it goes..

@@How-to-by-Lou You are right, since the update the manual setting for the controller is no longer persistent and manual mode must be re-enabled after each power cycle.

The dji neo isn't designed for acro it doesn't have enough power in the motors

Search for... DJI NEO Indonesia - FPV Mode Trippyspin Freestyle

@vince-n The Neo's motors lack the power needed for anything beyond casual cruising It maxes out quickly in manual mod making it incapable of freestyle flying or performing acro maneuvers with out getting any type of prop wash, and especially and a little bit of wind, I have the neo my self it is capable of it yes but it's definitely isn’t a great fit for experienced FPV pilots It lacks the power stability hence why it struggles on sharp turns and powerloops so on so fourth, it's more of a fly it through tight spaces type of drone
