My friends an I would go to a simulator south of Pittsburgh during the winter to play on a simulator. We loved playing the old course. One of those times was after a wicked snow storm with the temperature at 8°F. It was weird carrying clubs from the car to the store in those temps.
Hi Ian I thoroughly enjoy your RUclips content - very informative. I think it has opened many peoples’s eyes to the importance of custom fitting and custom club building. I equally enjoyed you talking about your early days near Glasgow. I am 70 years of age live in Helensburgh and am a member of Cardross GC? I am trying to get as many of my 6 grandchildren as possible interested in golf. Early days but no signs just yet that they are the next Rory. You mentioned Golf 2000 in your interview - sadly no more but I equally spent many an enjoyable hour there. I met someone who claims to be a friend of yours recently - Jamie McCormack - he and I had a good rapport - we support the same football team. Good luck with all your future business ventures. I wish you well. Kind regards. Jim
Someone really needs to call the Ranger...That course is over run with 'Dirty Dogs', apparently... Great video Gents! I prefer these than course vlogs as we get data feedback as well as ball flights. Plus you fellas don't need to worry about sunscreen and dehydration... win win I say!
I like the enthusiasm when you play the simulator I was at the Open in St Andrews in 2005 when Jack Nicklaus made his final appearance. I have only played the Dukes in St. Andrews.
How fair is this ... TXG fit up and Larry. Creamy Butter Combo Boys looking amazing. We need Foresight to work on mosquitoe simulation, throw these boys off a little. Thanks for the upload! 👍
Love the old course on the sim. Best I’ve managed is -1 for 18 holes. Could never quite commit to taking the ‘H’ in Hotel as the line off the tee on 17!
My wife and I played the Old Course, along with the Castle Course and Kingsbarns earlier this month. Only thing that would be a truer replication would be to have Ian and Matty play it with NO warm up, LOL (there's no range at The Old Course).. I enjoyed watching them play it far better than I did!
Yeah there is no way Matty was staying out of some of those bunkers today. And you need to grow the rough as its brutal at the moment. Oh and then the wind up, it is summer in Scotland after all 🤣
Have not played the Old in two years so this was fun to see but not quite what you would get in person. Spent 20 summers in town as a member of the New club and played 20 to 25 rounds a year. Matt had 54 on #3 and I would putt all day especially to a front pin. Again on 4 he was just short once more a putt. Hard to do that or get the feel on simulator.
In Foresight, use the arrows on the keyboard to line up your putt left or right, then just putt it straight on the line. It's easier than trying to aim the starting line left or right on the screen.
Another note for Matt. Don't let Ian convince you to hit less than driver on #12. Hit it over the green and it is past all the trouble and an easy chip back
Played the Old Course one late summer evening growing up in St Andrews. You don't appreciate things as a young kid. Would like to go back and play it again
I love the Jubilee course! The New course is alright - good in the beginning and plain in comparison from half way through. Eden and Strathyrum are different. Never played the Old. Castle course was not around when I was there the last time. Would be cool if you can add some wind ... which of course is non-existent in StAndrews!!! Hahaha
Well played "Dirty Dawgs". An all square nail biter after 9. Bring on The Road Hole!!.. Prediction - Matty drives 18.👍 Lack of wind is still an issue for reality tho...2/3 club winds would be normal..😊...but good hitting all the same.
If you guys go to Orlando next month for the PGA Show, try out this place. If you don't already know, it's Jack's "New Course" playing homage to the Old Course. It's been a couple years but if I remember correctly, I think there's 5 or 6 holes (?) that are same layout as St. Andrews, including #1 and #18. There's a couple big double greens, which is cool too. Might be worth a go! www.grandcypress.com/orlando_golf_resort_club/course_information/
No way can you hit less club from the rough and make your distance. Your software has no idea how dense the rough is. Then a 6 iron out of the gorse/rough playing a draw, come on wake up and smell the roses.
I feel the need to give the dog a bath after this 😂
Please never stop making these. I’ve been rewatching the old ones waiting for you to drop something new!! Great work as always

Love that system! Especially like the fact that you never have to worry about losing your ball.
I really really liked how matt was swinging it here. Great rythm
Excellent as always guys
Matt's best swings really keeping the weight on top of the left foot. Great match fellas.

Did I hear Ian in a LST? We need an updated WITB! great video fellas.

The Ian recoil is a thing of legend. You might swing that puppy faster after you've actually hit the ball!
Used to spend summers on the beach at Elie. Chippy at Pittenweem. Never played the old course either 😭... yet.
Been looking forward to this.

We'll try that!
Excellent video lads you should play the sim more often
Any discussion on Schauffele driver failing the CT test at Royal Portrush this week? And why it could
Or did happen?
Alex Kistner check out our live Q&A from tonight, we discussed it in length. 👍🏻

I enjoy watching Ian's recoil in his driver swing. I keep hoping Matt will do a Bubba Watson swing sometime
Love the content boys - From Australia :)

You get the MP 20's yet? Let's see them.

Ian, you missed some putts! Where’s the Stability Shaft?
Shawn Theriot putting has been brutal Shawn!!! 🤦🏻♂️. Stability shaft needs to come back.
Will you guys do a Ping glide 3.0 review with all the different some options?
I played it this march, one guy snapped hooked it out of bounds on the first good 150yard left...Hits a parked car and comes back into play.
I PRACTICE on SIMULATORS and ST. ANDREWS OLD COURSE. My best score is 75. Without a DRIVER.. JUST a 2 iron...
No Stability Shaft for Ian?
What radio mics do you guys use.
I must be feeling liverish, but the graphics on Foresight of the Old Course are less than Brilliant.
Just a general question. Precept ladies ball, what makes it a lady’s ball? Is it different than a srixion soft?
I was gonna comment 'Starting to wonder if Matt's ever met a dog he liked'... And this was before i reached 14:01 :P
Pain Less 🤣
Are you boys playing on God Mode or are y’all just that good??? 😳 Envious.
this channel seriously makes me wanna sell my car and buy a GCQuad
keep it left off the Tee, all the troubles down the RH.
Don't make me put it 400 feet 😂😂😂😂😂😂
You would never get a flier out of the fescue in St Andrews. Ever. It should be punishing you with at least 30% distance
New drinking game. Every time Matt says, dirty dog, take a shot.
You dirty dog!
Nasty and DIrty dogs all around!

Jack Tate relax Jack it’s a little fun, take it as intended.
