Milan was a dear friend of mine. I was his flight instructor in Boulder, Colorado. He was an honorable human being. This didn't surprise me. He is missed. He was an excellent pilot.

This made me sad. I hope that they were able to make peace with him before he died. That was no way to treat on one of their brothers. I still love their music. But, I will see them in a different light from now on.
    R.I.P my Brother.

Milan had appeared in Lionel Richie's Behind The Music documentary and he also understood Lionel's reason for pursuing a solo career. Lionel dedicated his 2006 album Coming Home to Milan's memory and in 2009 former member Thomas Mc Clary and Ronald LePread joined him on stage for a few gigs

I am a long, long time fan of the Commodores. Especially in their glory days. That was a fucked up thing to do to a band member who have been with you from the beginning. They didn't have to fire him like that.

This is the main reason the Commodores are not in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Because they definitely have the hit's. In my opinion of course. COMMODORES FOREVER!!! 🎤🎷🎸🎹🎺🎻

Milan Williams, my favorite Commodore. By far, the most gifted member (not Lionel) of the group.Milan put them on the map, giving them their very 1st hit, "Machine Gun." R.I.P. Milan Williams.

Milan Williams himself on this video speaks on Lionel Richie owning 90% of the music the Commodores perform. As a musician Milan was the man 😎 🎹🎶

The Lady doesn't understand what we went through in South Africa even today. I understand her though because of her. Colour. 1989 was the worst Black on Black violence that was engineered by White Generals in the army You can as Mike Hanah from Aljezeera by then He was working for CNN International and it was being reported by CNN weekly I don't understand when they all say they didn't know what was happening in our country. But anyway it has past. We Love You Commodores please come to South Africa full band including Mr Lionel Richie Because here in South Africa We have reconciled with those who hurt us so please I'm begging You Reunite and do last album.❤❤❤

And after all of that nothing really changed in South Africa except we switched out the victims and the oppressors for one another. Shameful and Sad.

    • @aaronalmon344

nitrile2000 , she was Commodore William King's wife. King was always the business manager of the band, dating from their humble beginnings through their heyday with Lionel. He was also a very talented musician, playing trumpet, keyboards, congas, guitar, banjo, & he also was their choreographer.

@Muzik Michael Michael Jackson did not change his style of music to reach mass audiences, He stayed the same and crossed over to all genres, Can't say the same for Ritchie. He was all over the map.
